Is this the acceptable time of the Lord!?

Let it be precious Lord!

A day that will truly live forever!  Let eternity begin!

I am so conflicted TR, I am both ever so hopeful and ever so pessimistic at the same time - so hard to live a “double life” or be “double minded”.

I am so hopeful because it seems like everything is lining up for a soon departure, but I would be a liar if I did not admit my pessimism  - not because God will not make good on His promises, but simply because my heart has deceived me so many times before when I thought surely this must be it.

Yet with each passing day the news I hear both discourages me and encourages me - again so hard to live in a duality!  When I hear of food shortages on the horizon and new diseases and now I keep hearing that the electrical grid may not be strong enough to support summer demand and that there will be necessary power outages - I am depressed because I am used to air conditioning and the comforts allowed to me growing up in America.

But then I feel sometimes like I understand what someone with a split personality must feel like because I find hope in such bad news and think - “well maybe this all means we won’t have to wait until the fall for our rescue?  Maybe God will rapture His church before the intense summer heat and the power outages they are predicting?”

Such wicked, wicked men causing all of these problems for the average person - and deservedly so - the average person these days has rejected such a great salvation - but we are not so, we are far from average and have been destined not only for so great a salvation, but such a glorious rescue!

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” ……….Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭21:28 & 36‬

I feel the same!  Keeping our eyes and hearts turned towards Him is the only course of action!

Praying that our hope will not be deferred much longer!

God’s grace shall lead us home!

I am hoping that it is no coincidence that the month of June is known as the wedding month, and that it has some bearing on they are "marrying and giving in marriage" part.

Funny that you talked about duality Derrick, I was just saying something like that the other day to my hubby that it is hard to make plans for the summer, work on the house, vacations etc....and at the same time hope that we aren't here to do any of that!! I feel like we are living with one foot here and one in the sky ready to fly!!!

I, like many of you, have gotten excited over a watch season, days etc... and this Pentecost is no different.....and I am excited, optimistic, pessimistic and steady and all the things that seem to contradict each other. I would love nothing more than to hear the Lord shout for us to come up there on Sunday (2am my time) 9am Jerusalem time; but if we remain on June 6th, I will give a big sigh and keep watching because we are still in the season, and He will complete the work He started in each one of us until the time to go!!! Please let it be Sunday though!!! :yahoo:

I think that most of us, if not, all of us are in the same boat waiting for the call. Perhaps Today ?

Missing Arthur’s input!  Hope he is well and all of you as well!

All we can do is occupy until then! Again, with the greatest of hope it will be before Summer!

If we look towards our future in the Heavenlies, we shall not be disappointed, but eventually glorified!

Our dilemma is not one of double mindedness but rather the anticipation of a complete victory looming above the horizon!

Sadly, our vision is being blurred by the death throws of Earth!  For this cause, I continue to pray that God be glorified in death and in life!

As Christ also died firstly only to be glorified!
