It is truly comical to watch as some folks drive down an ice/snow covered road and the next thing they know, the car is going sideways :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr:  …. Having lived up north (Illinois) for a brief period, I did learn to drive in the stuff, but most of us here are not used to this stuff and our “road crews” can’t keep up with maybe only 10 plows for the entire region of 1.7 million people (lot of road issues - not as bad as DC, Atlanta or NY, but bad for us). :calvin

I lived in San Diego as a kid back in the 1960’s; my Father was stationed there with the Navy, we had a nice home near the Chula Vista area, lot of military there. I remember playing out at night until after 9 pm all year long. It was an amazing place to me then, I visited once in the 1980’s when we returned from my husbands tour in HI (had to suffer there for almost 3 years :mdrmdr: ). It was very different during the 80’s as well, my parents house did not look to hold up well and the neighborhood no longer looked safe enough for kids to play like we had. I visited San Francisco and we stayed for 60 days near Monterey / Santa Ana but what a difference today via YouTube, it is horrible. Except for the people and a few strong churches (Jack Hibbs) it is not a good place to be…. :calvin

Here in the Atlanta area there is usually sleet and ice whenever it snows so many of us have figured out not to get in the car at all but many more still think they can drive in it. Lots of crashes, especially around hills. And a car going 10 mph sideways is a sight to see! :mdrmdr:

If we get in this renovation house before the rapture (I am totally ok with going upward first :mdrmdr: ) — I plan to put a draft Meyers Lemon tree and a draft Valencia Orange tree in the sunroom (4-seasons room). I figure that along with my hydroponics will help whoever finds the place after I am gone upward…. If it survives the mess that may happen. We are putting in a “tornado” room as well with a Murphy door to hide the entrance, it is quite fun actually…. I have put in two escape routes as well (in case the one is blocked), one through the ceiling and the other through the crawl space under the mud room  - should be very cool indeed. We are into month four of this renovation and the plumber just finished, the rough in inspection is this next week, then the electrician will finish his job and we move onto insulation and drywall. —- it is crazy indeed — I feel like I am building this for someone else for sure :calvin

Oooh! Secret doors! Love it! Is it a bookcase door or something different?
