Libya was a prosperous, forward thinking nation before NATO destroyed it and turned it into a failed state. I don't know about religious freedom back then but it couldn't have been any worse than it is now. Libya is currently incredibly hostile to Christians. ------ The 2014 article “Libya: Ten Things About Gaddafi They Don’t Want You to Know” says: Under Gaddafi, a home was considered a natural human right. Education (through college) and medical treatment were all free Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project Free land, seeds, tractor, livestock, and farm house for anyone to start an organic farm The equivalent of US $5,000 was given to mothers at the birth of a child Electricity was free Cheap petrol: gas was US 14 cents per liter Gaddafi raised literacy levels from 25% of to 87% Libya had its own state bank which provided loans to citizens at zero percent interest Gaddafi proposed a gold dinar so African nations could get out of debt and poverty. It has been said that the gold dinar was the real reason for the NATO-led rebellion. https://benwilliamslibrary.com/blog/?p=7023 The link to the rest of the article didn't work. Turkey Using Ukraine War as Excuse to Claim Greek Islands: Greece’s government has exploited political turmoil caused by Ukraine’s latest war with Russia to “attack Turkey” in recent days, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar alleged Wednesday, referring to an Aegean island dispute between Athens and Ankara that reignited last week after Turkey violated Greek airspace above some of the islets in question. As Breitbart News reported on February 28, Turkey’s violation of Greek airspace on February 24 was “part of an ongoing dispute between the two nations, as Turkey — a NATO member — does not acknowledge Greek sovereignty over swathes of territory that lies between them.” The Turkish air force action followed two days after the Greek coastguard fired warning shots at a Turkish fishing boat near the Aegean island of Oinousses on February 22 after the vessel ignored initial requests by the Greek coastguard to leave the area. “The Greek coastguard vessel initially confronted the Turkish fishermen and asked them to leave, to which they refused and attempted to ram the Coastguard, resulting in the Greeks deploying sound signals and firing warning shots at the Turkish boat, which soon returned to Turkish waters,” Breitbart News recalled. Tzevizoglou and his panel seemed to refer to islands and islets in the Aegean Sea administered by the Greek government but claimed by Turkey. Another Turkish journalist, İbrahim Karagül, expressed concern on March 4 that Russia’s latest war with Ukraine could spill into the Black Sea, a body of water that serves as a natural barrier between Turkey and Ukraine. Karagül wrote: The most important danger for now is a provocation in the Black Sea. A “mistakenly fired” missile may very likely hit a Turkish ship. A Russian plane may be downed. A NATO missile may hit a Russian ship. The U.S. and Europe will definitely attempt this ploy. That is when it will get out of hand. Turkey must never get directly involved in war even in this case. Yes, it is a little wonky. I clicked on the date (July 28, 2020) above his picture and it refreshed with the article. Sorry about that. Erdogan is trying to put the Ottoman Empire together again. First he helped Azerbaijan (who are ethnic Turks) to steal land from Armenia. Then got involved in Libya. After that, he stole land from Syria. Now he is looking at Greece. Soon, his evil gaze will turn South to Israel...
