WHO AM I? Who does God say I am? Am I walking in that truth? The Lord lead me to Isaiah 54 this morning and I would like to share it with you. I pray it will be a blessing... As the Lord of Host, God is the Commander and Chief of His army. It never ceases to amaze me when I find His words of encouragement to us coming from the position of an army general motivating his troops for battle. Each time I see the phrase "arm of the Lord" or "strong arm of the Lord" I pay close attention. We are all familiar with the 53rd chapter of Isaiah and it being about the coming Messiah who will be crucified for our Salvation. I find it very interesting that the very first verse of that chapter starts out with the phrase "arm of the Lord". That means that the whole chapter as well as chapter 54 is written in terms of a battle that will take place and the Lord is addressing His army of followers to be encouraged that His covenant of Peace and their Inheritance as His servants will not depart from them. Isn't our God AWESOME? Now, look at our "marching" orders found in chapter 54 and verse 17. (Tom's paraphrase) I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and no weapon used against me will prosper; I claim my heritage in Christ Jesus and I reject every negative or condemning word spoken to, against or about me and proclaim them null and void. These are powerful WORDS of truth and as we speak them out into the heaven's, they are powerful and will not return void. I encourage each of you to sound these words out today.....and any day you feel the need to go to battle in the strength of the Lord of Host. We are Kings Kids and freedom from condemnation is our heritage. We belong to the King of the Universe and all that is His belongs to us also. Eternal life, eternal contentment, eternal safety and an eternity to love and be loved. God is good.....ALL the time.
