Then we must absolutely start with a fried blooming onion! No worries on the cholesterol and that with a ranch dip, awesome! Maybe even a Caprese (tomato, mozzarella, pesto) — oye vey! :yahoo:

Um no ... Isn’t it the story of the rebellious son who crawled back home and his father had a robe, a ring and a juicy fatted calf on the dinner table?

Yeah, that’s a no! :mdrmdr: Ok compromise idea here —- a delicious table with gorgeous fried items, a baked items table (honey ham, etc), don’t forget the soups, I adore a great Tomato Bisque w/cheese....

Speaking of cheese, we have to have a cheese tray and veggie tray for starters too!
Yes, I know the verse well that says “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Romans 14:17

Butttttt- it doesn’t discount eating and drinking either! :mdrmdr:

YES!  Salad was served last in our house too!  But my sister-in-law and brother-in-law were not Italian and they insisted on eating their salad first.   They claim all the restaurants serve it that way.  I said that is because they are slow in preparing the meal and want you to fill up on salad and not complain about the wait time.

Mmmm... now you’re talking Tammie! :good:    With fried onions, French fries, almost anything fried well except for anything that swims or floats in water.

Do you like olives and bruschetta?
