What are your thoughts on ....

When the rapture happens ... all the babies and young children in heaven and those on earth under the age of accountability that will be taken up with us ... will they get their glorified bodies and be the same age as us?  Or will they get their glorified bodies and they continue to grow to maturity during the Millennium Kingdom?

Also what do you think our age is going to be?  20, 21, 33?

From these verses it looks like the age is 19 and below that are under the age of accountability:

Exodus 30:14
Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD.

Numbers 14:29
Your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,

———————————
My personal thoughts ... I’m leaning towards we will all be around 20-21 years old.  The reason is ... after my mom’s memorial service, that night I asked the Lord if she saw her service and if so, if He could please show me.  I had the following vision/dream when I closed my eyes.  I saw a whole bunch of clouds in the sky, then some clouds started to roll away like a scroll and I saw her smiling face looking down amongst the clouds.  Then I saw a flash of light and the next thing it was the memorial service at the church in progress again.  The pastor was speaking (only saw his mouth moving couldn’t hear what he was saying but he was dressed in the same suit) and I saw all the flowers on display and all the people in attendance and then there was another flash of light and I saw the clouds slowly rolling back to cover up her smiling face again.  Then I woke up.  I quickly tried to find that image of her and I did find it ... in her wedding album ... she was 21 years old in the picture.  Note:  She also looked the same at age 20 so that is why I’m leaning towards perhaps we will all look like we did at 20-21 years old.

The appearance of age is somewhat relative.  For my opinion, I don't think there will be any signs of decay or things we associate with aging, such as sagging skin, grey hair or receding hairlines, wrinkles, age spots, or the like.  When I was 21, I was told I looked quite a few years younger than what was typical.  Now, no one disputes I'm in my sixties.

Adam was created full grown, so I don't see an issue with an infant being given a mature body when the transformation happens.  Nevertheless, I also don't envision a problem with them growing into maturity gradually.  We'll have to wait and see how God handles things.

Will some children want to hold onto being that youthful perpetually?  Maybe, though I suspect that there, as with here, God's purpose is that they should grow into increasing levels of responsibility, and an adult body would be needed for that.  And a child should want to grow up; after all, how many times can you put the round pegs in the round holes before you have that concept mastered?

Excellent points, David.   LOL  yeah I agree with you ... I’m sure that child would want to mature and not be stuck playing with the same boring toy(s).

My thoughts were on the mothers who have lost their babies or young children ... perhaps they would get their chance to see them grow up slowly during the Millennium Kingdom.

But like you said ... we will just have to wait and see.

From various NDE accounts there appear to be people of all ages.   Well, at least for the purpose of recognition of passed on loved ones, anyway.

I can also believe that young ones would be allowed to grow, and then maybe a cap on how old.  I've also long heard that everyone in Heaven would be 30 or 33, but I never really understood what that was based on.  Aside from the age of Christ when He died and resurrected, that would seem arbitrary.

Kinda hard to see Methusulah at 30, or even Adam!  Good news for the women I would guess.

Again, without the spot of sin, the blemish of self, and the wrinkles of aging, we will forever be beautiful in our Beloved's sight.

Yes, I used to believe the perfect age would be 33 since that was when Jesus went to the Cross.  I also read scientists believe we reach our peak at 33 and then its all down hill after that.

But then after seeing the vision/dream of how my mom looked, it made me question that theory.

I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Silly question maybe! Aren’t we supposed to be like Angels when we are going home? Jesus said so in the Gospel of Luke. Just wondering! 🙂

For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like angels in heaven.  Matthew 22:2

In this respect and for that issue, there is a similarity between the glorified saints and the angels.  However, the angels in heaven don't have children, so the comparison doesn't really apply.  There are going to be differences between us and the angels, and the model we are given is the resurrected body of Jesus.  Many unanswered questions remain, to be sure.
