You’re right David ... I was hoping the democRATS would have given up after the acquittal decision.  But no ... here we go ... Round 2 from the land of snowy cold looneyville ... we have the “Republican” Governor of Vermont, (Phil Scott) saying “Trump shouldn’t be in office”.   Looks like Phil Scott is another RINO ... he even admits he didn’t vote for Trump.  Ok ... how much money, under the table, did Bernie give him? B-)

Yahoo news

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — President Donald Trump abused his power and shouldn't be in office, Vermont Gov. Phil Scott, a fellow Republican, said Thursday in a rare dissent from within party ranks.

The U.S. Senate should have been allowed to hear from more witnesses who could have provided evidence about the charges against the president, Scott, a frequent Trump critic, said at a news conference.

After being asked about the president's acquittal Wednesday in the Senate, Scott said the outcome was almost a foregone conclusion.

“If they'd taken more testimony, maybe they'd have had more information and maybe other senators would have acted appropriately,” Scott said.

When pressed about whether he would have voted to remove the president, Scott noted he isn't a member of the Senate.

“I believe that the president abused his powers. It’s hard, in some respects for me, because I’m not a supporter," Scott said. “I didn’t vote for the president, and I don’t believe that he should be in office."

Come on.  We all realize it's not as if these people have changed in any respects since Trump announced he was running.  They despised him before the sham impeachment, and they are using this as an excuse to jump in front of the cameras for attention.  Abuse of power?  To them, Trump having breakfast is enough reason to accuse him of being unfit for office.

“If they’d taken more testimony, maybe they’d have had more information and maybe other senators would have acted appropriately,” Scott said.

Maybe the House of Representatives should have presented a case that the president committed some sort of high crime or misdemeanor.  Instead, they wanted the Senate to waste the public's time on what was essentially an election campaign for the Democrats.

All of these people who are so hawkish on abuse of power must have been in a coma during the Obama administration. If they were so keen on protecting America then most of Obama’s administration would be in the federal penitentiary right now.
