Amen to that news!  One less vile and satanically inspired soul robbing visual!

Remember the movie series, “The Hunger Games” — same thought process, gladiator games. Desensitizing the world so they easily accept the beheading of believers during the tribulation.  Sooner than later Father, praying for the sound and the Bridegroom comes for the Bride. :prayer-hands:

There are a number of demonically inspired shows which feature demons as part of the cast on network television also.  Add to that an ever increasing number of horror movies both on t.v. and in theaters.

We are obsessed with satanic manifestations, afterlife apparitions, death and violence permeate  every arena of society and we arrogantly showcase promiscuity through reality programming!  Not to mention advocating gay lifestyles in shows and commercials!

What was once considered taboo is now openly embraced and flaunted!  The total degradation of any moral compass has been destroyed.  Notwithstanding the spiritual guidelines for life having been discarded, even traditional limitations of society have been rejected.

Sadly this involves a large segment of society, not just people of fringe lifestyles.

Add to the list "Lucifer". I know someone who I know to be a Christian yet she watches this show! If Christians are being entertained by the likes of a show with such a title how much more so will the world watch and completely drop their guard. A total indoctrination into what is coming.

It is amazing how many Christians I have met that watch some of those shows and movies. I always thought I was just weird because I can’t stand to even watch the commercials for scary moves or movies and shows about evil. I am now only watching shows like how’s it made, you tubes on a JD, Amir, Jan, Gary or cool gadgets. Ok so I watch prepper ones too :popcorn

desensitizing is the goal, the new normal

Also aside from the mindless electronic pastimes,  people seem more concerned with "busting a move" or loose ourselves into music and drugs, or otherwise attempt to inflate their self image!

Among industrialized nations we score among the lowest in our school system.  People with multiple degrees lack any modicum of common sense.  Normal standards for traditional societal living have been disregarded.  The average american can barely speak "proper" English, opting for ghetto speech.

Personal growth, self improvement and  raising the level of their minds is all but disdained!  Whereas many of our ancestors worked extremely hard to elevate personal skills, hone ambitions and focus on contributing to the common good of society.  Delayed gratification is a lost art!

There are many that defy these criticisms, but they are indeed a dwindling minority, IMO.  It has been said that the common man utilizes less than 10% of their brain.  I would dare say that in the last 100 yrs that percentile has dropped even lower.

TR said "Delayed gratification is a lost art!" Isn't that the truth! Instant gratification is the new normal.

And to think, Yohanan, TR... Instant started with Quaker oats.  Spread to coffee!  (Sorry, Geri.  Had to mention coffee.)  The world started to fall apart in our generation (not yours Yohanan).

Hmmm.... Maybe there's a latent market for organic gluten free cost free "Entitled Oats!"

MWS, while you have whiter hair than I do, I believe we are from the same generation (boomers)  😉

Yes! Now that you mentioned it, I think I will have a nice hot cup of coffee. It's only 95 degrees outside with a heat index of 115 but hey! 😉

I do love instant oatmeal.  Yum!      Ew though to the instant fake coffee like Sanka ... I would think that hast got to be like perkatory  for serious coffee drinkers.

I’m getting Deja-brew though thinking about the instant drinks ... not coffee :negative:  but Tang ... remember that fake powdered Orange Juice drink?  I used to bring a few jars with me to college fearing if I missed breakfast I could at least get my quota of Vitamin C drink in for the day and not develop scurvy.  Looking back ... that jar must of contained high levels of dangerous toxic chemicals
