Amos 1:3 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:
4 But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad.

I believe the three transgressions are 1948 Independence War, 1967 Six Days War, and 1973 Yom Kippur War. For these three transgressions, God has refrained Himself from punishing the enemies of Israel. But for the fourth transgression, God shall send fire to Damascus (Syria), Gaza (Hamas), Tyrus (Hezbollah), Edom, Ammon, Moab (Jordan), and ultimately Israel and Judah. All these are the participants in Amos 1-2.

I don't have the timing of this fourth transgression, aka the three shepherds war. But I know this is the last witnessing tool to the unsaved before the rapture. And God shall cut off these three shepherds in one month. It doesn't seem this war shall last long. With oil price at it's historical low, some countries may want a war in middle east to pop up the oil price. Let's see if this summer we shall see this fourth transgression fulfilled.

Amos 2:1 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

2 But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:

God gave the reason of why He punished Moab. It is because Moab has burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime. To burn the bone into lime, this assassination against King Abdullah II has to come from a huge bomb explosion. King Abdullah II came from Hashemites dynasty which has it's root in northern Arab peninsula where Edom was. God calls King Abdullah II as king of Edom is very appropriate.

Concerning why would Moab (Jordanian people) assassinate Abdullah II, my guess is because King Abdullah II refuses to join the war against Israel. God says it will be the people of Moab carrying out this assassination. Moab is where Amman is. Looks like king Abdullah will be assassinated in Amman.

I believe the church shall witness this assassination against King Abdullah II. If it doesn't happen this year, very likely it shall happen next year.

Do you think this is setting the stage for King Abdullah’s downfall?   He is upset that Israel is annexation Judaea and Samaria.  If this is just all words ... and he backs down ... will his people then fulfill Amos 2:1 on him?

Geri7.

I think his assassination has more to do with his reluctance to go to war with Israel.
