There have been a push for a democratic movement in China, by the Western powers, Hong Kong dissidents, and oversea Chinese. But according to bible prophecy, this movement shall fail. Communist party will hold firm to their power in China, until Jesus returns. Below is what I wrote few years ago. Isaiah 18:1 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia: 2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled! Isaiah mentions a mysterious nation which will return to the Lord in future. This nation is China. The nationals of this country are scattered and peeled. Peeled stands for smooth skin and hairless. Compared to Caucasians and Africans, Chinese people have fewer hairs on the cheeks, chest, arms and feet, and are sparse. The land of this country is meted out and trodden down by mountains and rivers. China is divided by mountains and rivers, and they name their provinces according to their proximity to mountains and rivers. Examples are Hubei, Hunan, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Shanxi and so on. And their Yangtze river and Yellow river have long been troubled by floods for thousands of years. Since the founding of this country, the people are terrified from their beginning. China has been ruled by emperors for four thousand years of history since Xia, Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han, to Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing Dynasty. The people have been living In fear, they are not given power to discuss politics. Even after Sun Yat-sen overthrew the Qing Dynasty in 1911, Kuomintang and the Communist Party were in civil war between 1947-1949, the Communist Party came to power in 1949, consequence is these people are still not given power to participate in politics. Many Chinese are living under fear today, with absolutely no chance in forming an opposition party. Democracy is a rare term in China. But the good news is, Isaiah prophesied this people would one day return to the Lord, and they would provide gifts to the Lord on Mount Zion, Jerusalem. This will happen when our Lord Jesus returns. Isaiah 18:3 All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. 4 For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest. 5 For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches. 6 They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them. 7 In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion. Daniel 11:41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. Verse 41 is when AC enters Jerusalem, after that, tragedy shall befall on Jerusalem This is a mid-trib event. May countries shall be overthrown, which should include Israel. Edom, Moab, and Ammon shall escape out of his hand. His target is Israel, not Jordan. Jordan shall be delivered by him, after Jordan has been fallen in Israel's hand for three years. (Isaiah 16:13). Verse 42 and 43 foretells his invasion against Egypt, Libya and Ethiopia after his attack on Israel. By this time, Ethiopia shall send a swift messenger to China for help. This is where Isaiah 18 verse 1-3 kicks in. Upon the request from these north African nations, China shall eventually engage in this conflict, and declares war on AC and his western alliance. This is world war three. Besides China, Russia shall also get involved in this conflict Daniel 11:44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. Tiding out of the east is China, while the north is Russia. If we draw a straight line from Babylon all the way to the east, we stop at China. Same thing when we draw a straight line to the north of Babylon where AC dwells, we stop at Russia. China's destiny is to fight a war against AC and his western alliance. Besides conventional weapons, nuclear warhead shall also be used. According to Book of Revelation, 1/3 of world population shall be killed by this nuclear warfare. China is also the leopard beast in Daniel 7. The four heads are China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Taiwan shall eventually reunite with China, and forms the leopard beast. Since the economic reform in 1978, China has astonished the rest of the world with it's rapid economic growth and uprising in their military might. Their speed of economic growth and military hardware is unseen by the world before. Leopard is known for it's speed and swiftness. God uses Leopard to represent China is the best term I can ever think of. China has been sleeping for thousands of years. It's recent awakening is not by chance or coincidence. God has prepared this nation since 1978, in order to meet Anti Christ in near future. China's rapid economic growth and their military uprising has the blessing from God, so that they would not boast it is their own achievement. This nation doesn't know God and Jesus yet. But like Israel in tribulation, this nation shall turn to Jesus when hard time strikes in the second half of tribulation The survivors shall give the gift to the Lord in Zion.
