:mdrmdr: “A little brew among family” very funny! Despite the mishap on Monday night he is doing very well. I was trying to carefully lift him up over the front step and apparently I mistakenly touched his incision and he cried out and because I was bent over ... the stinker took a bite of my ear. He has very sharp teeth and I thought great ... do I need to go to the ER?! It took a while to get the bleeding to finally stop. I truly thought I needed a stitch or 2. Ended up going to the doctors the next morning because it was very swollen and red. I got a 7 day supply of prescription pills to clear up the infection. My pain level today is a 3 vs level 10 Monday night and the ear is starting to look “normal” again He’s got a serious gas problem  ... so I have the Orek air purifying machine running full blast for a few hours. If you can keep him in your prayers that his GI track returns to “normal” (they said it could take 3 weeks) I would REALLY appreciate it. Alrighty lets get this train back on track after doing a few figure 8’s ... Ear looks good from this angle, I’m getting pretty good at evaluation via video, problem comes when folks just aren’t sure how to hold the phone under good lighting...it can get quite comical, but I’m not supposed to laugh and remain professional, still think one day I just might turn my jacket backwards :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: Try some vitamin E for scar healing, rubbed on the ear  ... animal mouths are not always the cleanest, like our finger nails, germ central...should see them under scope. Oops off track again... praying for puppy monster. Bless her ear Lord! Keep her safe and healthy in body, soul and spirit until we are called home! All to Your glory Father God, in Jesus' powerful name! Love & blessings...Tender Reed Thank you both for your prayers for “puppy monster” :mdrmdr: Yeah that really surprised me that he would bite the ear that feeds him. He is always so loving and gentle but he did have A LOT of trauma last weekend and I’m sure was still heavily drugged up and confused. Thanks for the tip with using Vitamin E oil. I didn’t even think about using it and here I have a bottle, so I will apply it. LOL about turning your white jacket backwards ... no, you’re on the ball, Doc, and you just gave me helpful sound advice and I really appreciate it! Geri, he was just reacting to the instant pain by instinct, plus some sleeping meds (Anesthetics) given, can recycle through the body so he may still have been a bit on the groggy side and not focused on who had him, he’ll apologize once he gets back to his self  😉 Yep — we call that style of jacket an “I love me jacket” —- some normal folks call it a straight jacket but hey, wants in a name? :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: My dear friend and sister in Christ runs a Behavior Health, inpatient facility and she just cracked up with laughter when I mentioned that to her ... she was born in Kenya, so still struggles with my sense of humor — it is no wonder either, I am a work in progress! She will be joining us in our eternity, you’ll love her too, I hope she can keep her beautiful accent! :prayer-hands: Tammie, with persistence we will win TR and Geri over to the mocha side of things ? And when we do, then we will have to make them back down to share :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: it is the way of mocha drinkers :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: LOL! Yeah, no kidding! They will be the first in line at the heavenly mocha kiosk ? A heavenly mocha kiosk?! :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: You know I can actually see them up there. Hmmm .... brainstorming this one  ... Oh .... I got it ... perhaps I will get my guardian angel to rig the machine so it forever says ... if you press mocha drinks, but it operates fine and dandy for hot cocoa. Don’t worry ... you can get your fix of coffee with a slice of hot freshly baked coffee cake. I must confess ... I can eat coffee cake and I’m sure T.R. can too, especially if you sprinkle lots of cinnamon on top. Didn’t think we could compromised, eh? B-)
