We have to start being very careful going into the bathroom now.  A tiny little bird is building a nest on the ledge where the window opens, between the outside and the inside.  We don't want to frighten her away.  Cute!  Yay, now she's family; she gets to go with us.  "you and your household"  Anybody living in my bathroom window is part of our household.

Aw .. so sweet!

Over here I got the hummers surrounding my place … they are enjoying the zinnia flowers and I just made a new  batch of sugar water. They are slurping on it.  I sure hope they all get raptured out too!

President Trump is everything the media says he isn’t.
On Sunday President Trump spoke at Pastor Robert Jeffress’ First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Trump delivered a wonderful speech reassuring the congregation on Christmas Week.

Okay! I will tell you something good here!

When Christ shall come, with shouts of acclamation!

And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.

Then I shall bow in humble adoration

And there proclaim, :yahoo:  oh my God, how great Thou art!!! :prayer-hands:

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee ♥️

How great Thou art, how great Thou art! :prayer-hands:

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee! ♥️

How great Thou art, how great Thou art! :prayer-hands:

How many of you heard Elvis singing?

Some thoughts on fear, worry and anxiety. Hope it helps somebody...

Allowing fear to remain a part of your life is like staying in an abusive relationship. It isn’t healthy, and it certainly will not allow you to live the wonderful life that God has planned for you. Let Him teach you how to get over fear!

Abusive relationships are destructive. An abusive person is controlling and possessive. They tell you where you can go, what you can do, what you can or can’t eat, and who you can or can’t spend time with. If they do allow you to go hang out with friends, they dominate the conversation until everything revolves around them!

Staying in this kind of toxic relationship will destroy your self-esteem! Toxic people will put you down, highlight all of your faults, and manipulate your emotions. In an attempt to keep you in your place (under their control), they will say that you are stupid. Your dreams are beyond your reach.

Fear is the ultimate abusive relationship. Maybe you’ve only been in this relationship for a short time, or maybe it’s been years. Regardless, you’ll recognize some of these characteristics that having a relationship with fear can manifest in your life.

Fear is possessive, controlling, and many times will act crazy! It will cause you to stay home rather than go to church or to the grocery store. You’ll stay away from relationships with people due to fear of rejection. Rather than stepping out in faith when the Lord gives you direction, you’ll stay back in timidity to avoid failure. Fear will even stop you from doing the right thing, all the while deceiving you into thinking that you are being compassionate, concerned, or using good sense.

Fear can destroy your health, cause you to lose sleep, and sabotage your relationships. It steals joy, kills hope, and destroys faith. Fear treats you like a slave.

The enemy wants nothing more than for you to allow fear to keep you from fulfilling the plans and purpose God has for your life. His plans for you are so much greater than you ever could imagine! However, in order to receive everything good that God has for you, you will have to get over fear and step out in faith!

It’s time to give fear the boot! Kick it out of your house and move on into the life God desires for you. Here are some ways you can start to get over fear:

When fear prompts you to examine all of your faults, and to feel worthless, remind that liar that you are perfectly known and perfectly loved! In fact, God loves you exactly the way you are. He thinks about you constantly and all His thoughts toward you are good!

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18)

If you have been dealing with fear, it could be because you haven’t yet completely known the perfect love of the Father for you! When you fully understand God’s love for you, you won’t have any time to date fear on the side. You’ll have all of your time and attention wrapped up in a relationship that will always build you up and never let you down!

To restrain fear, replace those lies with Truth from the Word of God! Simply, replace fearful thoughts with promises of God from the Word. If your mind is focused on things of God—His love for you and His promises to you—there won’t be room for anxiety or discouragement.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul… (Psalm 23)

When you spend time in the Word of God, you can trust Jesus to restore your soul! Your mind and emotions are part of your soul, and that is where fear lives. However, it’s impossible to deal with fear through willpower. You can’t just push through. Instead, keep your eyes on Jesus and your focus on the Word of God, and allow Him to restore your mind and emotions. He is faithful to restore your soul and place peace on the throne in the areas where anxiety once reigned.

I know I’m preaching to the choir, but I hear the following question asked so often, especially by Christians. Perhaps you know somebody who needs to hear this…

Why Do Bad Things Happen?

Does God allow evil? Why do bad things happen? These are questions that really need to be addressed. If we believe that God allows evil things to happen on earth, we can’t believe for victory over them, can we?

Back to the Beginning

To fully understand why bad things happen, we need to go back to the beginning:

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them". (Genesis 1:26-27)

When God created humanity, He gave the earth to us as a gift. Psalm 115:16 says, “…But the earth He has given to the children of men.” Once God gave the earth to humanity, He relinquished His control to their stewardship, to their free will, and their choices had a profound impact.

When Adam and Eve believed the word of the serpent over the Word of God, they gave their control to the devil. The enemy had manipulated them into giving up their sovereignty over the earth and over everything within it. Creation had fallen from its perfect state, and from that moment, it began to decay.

Why Do Bad Things Happen?

Bad things happen because we don’t live in a perfect Garden anymore, the way God had originally intended. We live in a world that has been corrupted by sin and is in a state of decay. Therefore, sickness and disease run rampant. In addition, humanity continues to exercise free will, and many of those decisions result in evil: war, murder, abuse, and more. None of these things occurred because of God’s plan or because He has allowed it. The responsibility for these things falls at the feet of the sin of mankind and the plans of the evil one!

God Still Had a Plan

Since mankind had been given the earth to care for, to have dominion over and subdue, God couldn’t legally just reach down and “fix” everything in an instant. No, He needed a human being in order to accomplish that goal. So, His solution was for Himself to become a man to save humanity. When Jesus came, when God became a man, He won back our authority from the enemy, and then gave that authority back to us!

Jesus said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19).

In fact, not only has God given believers authority over this fallen world and the plans of the enemy, He has placed us into a new kingdom! “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love” (Colossians 1:13). This means that the rules of this decaying world do not have to apply to us. We can live and reign in this life according to the laws of the Kingdom of God, rather than remain subject to the evil that is in the natural world around us.

You Can Believe for Victory

If God were truly responsible for the horrible things that happen here on earth, what right or power would we have to try to fight against them? Thank the Lord, that is not the case! When bad things happen, we do not have to simply roll over and accept them. We can use the authority that Jesus gave us to fight against evil and believe God for victory!

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place” (2 Corinthians 2:14).

Jesus actually warned us that we would face negative circumstances in this world, but He had great news to go along with it, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

What to Do When Bad Things Happen

Use Your Words: Take your authority by speaking to the problem (Mark 11:23-24). Don’t beg and plead with God to change your situation. He’s already provided whatever you need through Jesus! Speak directly to your situation and tell it how it is going to change. “Pain, you leave my body right now, in Jesus’ name! Body, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and He gives life to you. I am healed, by the stripes of Jesus!”

Praise the Lord: In Acts 16, Paul and Silas had been severely beaten and thrown in prison. However, they were “…praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.” Even in the midst of a trial, sing praises to the Lord! Your praise and worship is a weapon that will cause your chains to be loosed!

Rest in the Finished Work of Jesus: When Jesus gave His life on the cross, He said, “It is finished!” (John 19:30). When He died, His work was accomplished. He was saying that the wrath of God for the sin of mankind had been appeased, and He had delivered us from the power of darkness and into His kingdom! At the cross, He provided healing, protection, provision, and victory. That work is finished, so do not worry about your circumstances. Pray, speak the Word, use your authority, praise and thank Him, and enter into His rest! “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief” (Hebrews 4:11).

I was at the local grocery store this morning … getting some more honey maple gazed ham from the deli dept … sooo good I want to make a sub sandwich on French bread. And I was using the self checker scanner machine and again got one of those slips for a “free flu shot plus 10% off groceries offer.” 🙄    So I saw the attendant and she had nothing to do since far and few people were shopping at that time so I struck up a conversation on “that offer” 😵‍💫 and she was laughing and confirmed it doesn’t apply in this store since there is no pharmacy but perhaps some of their sister stores it will?  So the conversation led to covid vaxx and she said she did take the first shot but not any of the boosters because she saw sooooo many people with very bad side effects.  I said that was smart to refuse any more … I told her  I didn’t get the shots and I even refuse the flu shots cause … I will end up very sick with … “the flu” any way so why torture myself?  And I rarely get the flu … perhaps once very 10 years and its mild 1 day of suffering.  I also clued her if she gets fluid in her lungs to take 1 Mucinex pill and it will instantly clear it out.  I told her I have asthma and it flares up when cleaning (house dust) so instead of using an inhaler or getting costly steroid pills … I just take that 1 Mucinex pill and I get instant relief.  Then this lead to her talking about someone she knows who has cancer and I was trying to give her advice on what to take … NOW brand Dandelion Root pills helps kill off the cancer and being on an alkaline diet.  So she was happy to hear that.  Then that lead me to witness to her and I got out a Bible Tract and briefly told her about Jesus dying for us and we need to pray directly to Him, etc.  and no works are involved and she was soooooo interested and didn’t want me to go … cause a customer then needed  help on the scanner machine … so I waited and then she was asking more questions and then thanked me for the literature and said she will read this later on her break.  I really feel she is going to get saved and hopefully share with her family too since she is very close with them.  She said they have been searching for a church and not happy.  I’m just grateful the Lord put me across her path today and used that crazy flu/covid offer as a means!    So if you can pray for her .. her name is Linda.  We need to get the last of the church  brothers and sisters on Flight 777

:thankyou

Oh and a weird thing happened while trying to enter my home.  My front door lock was “jammed” I could place my key in the lock but it would not turn.  I thought how odd?  This NEVER happened before … so I had to go to the back door and use the key there to get inside the house.   Then I checked the front door lock and it was really jammed and had to keep twisting the  knob back and forth to get it to turn and release.  So I think the demons are very angry with this encounter and did something to it to make trouble.
