My husband was finishing up his message series in James yesterday and one of the verses he used in James 5:17 “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth.“ kind of stuck with me, like the Lord was telling me pray fervently or earnestly …. Interesting — we have our house on the market, it is a great house, but we are selling it and sizing down and moving next door to my daughter. We already bought the other place, but this house had a few takers but nothing we felt comfortable with … so yesterday, I began praying earnestly for the Lord to sell my house for our asking price. Last night we received an offer for just that! Now we begin renovations fo the ranch … I don’t think we will be here to complete it and that is ok, we are following the path that God truly opened the door for us to do. My point …. Let us join together with Elijah to pray earnestly to Abba — we need to go home! :prayer-hands:
