I was poking through posts on FB RITA and read that the Devil is so happy to see all the misery.  I don't necessarily disagree but the idea that Satan, his minions, our evil rulers and authorities, the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms... Are they even capable of being happy?

I imagine all those at all levels who have sold their souls in the service of Satan, upon holding up their efforts to serve him and expecting appreciation, will receive a sneer along with an off-handed remark, "You stupid sucker!"

Those are the ones to be pitied.  I'll take my "misery" over their "happiness" any day / everyday / forevermore.

Your thoughts...?

As has been suggested.  Better to rule in Hell, than serve in Heaven.

As such people subscribe to the adage that misery loves company.   If you can get so many to agree with you, then you can't be wrong.

This is why there is a move among those in political circles to legalize all manner of sin.  As such eliminating the verb of sin, God is kept out of the picture. How convenient!

All one needs to do is look at the faces of most of the hardcore on the Left, and there is the answer!

I doubt there is any pleasure or mirth in the realm of Satan, as he knows his end.  Is there even any satisfaction in having temporary power?  That also seems unlikely, as his followers on Earth are not really happy in the things they lust after.  When you are consumed by the fear of things to come, any good feelings go up in flames.

I read a near death experience book that I think is bonk except for one thing the author noted. Those who will spend eternity in hell will be attacked and tortured by demons in a very fierce and ferocious way because they (the humans) were created in the image of God and the demon hate God and will take out their hatred on those souls who rejected Christ's atonement. No entity in hell will be happy.

I'm the one who put that on FB and it's because when I look at all the confusion in America and the world, it seems evil is getting a chance to rise more now. The devil has so many thinking everything is fun, doing drugs, slandering people, killing unborn babies is OK, of course 100 more terrible things he does to hurt people and yet people keep saying yes to him, it almost seems the devil is winning.  Seeing people agree with him and his demons are dancing for joy over it all, in my imaginary mind,  Just like the book, "Left behind", with demons talking out front of a house waiting for a person to step out. But I know one day that face of the devil will turn to horror when he's finally chained in hell. I get carried away sometimes, sorry, I can't wait till Jesus comes and this is all over with and we are finally in our new bodies praising our King.

Certainly Satan's macabre enjoyment of directing as many as possible away from the Lord can be viewed as a happy time! Yes, indeed short-lived but his consolation will he will find in the great number that He has led away and kept from an eternal relationship with the Lord!

No doubt he shall also enjoy tormenting those he deceived in hell!  Evil doesn't need to make sense or promise any rewards, it just needs to feel good temporarily.

Once someone passing the point of no return ie: never being made right with God, there is then no fear in sin! :negative:  Some are deceived, some knowingly accept the lie, and some are wanton in chasing after evil & wickedness!

Satan is no dummy, being second only to God in knowledge, power and beauty as Lucifer.  He has always known his inferiority to God and inevitable defeat, but takes great joy in hurting God's heart.  Knowing that God would that none perish.

His end may be Hell, but he glories in all those he stole from the Lord that shall also be with him, in hell.

Or so it seems to me

Happy, no. He knows what little time he has left. But in full kill and destroy mode, I would say that's a understatement. He is and will be on full attack mode so make sure you have on the complete armor of God. He and more and more of the fallen want nothing more than to separate anyone he can from the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep the Holy Spirit close and stay in the word of God. Pray without ceasing, for all the unsaved and protection from the wiles of the devil. Knowing that we are sealed and children of the one True God.

I personally don't think Satan or demons will be tormenting anyone in hell.  That would almost insinuate that they would have some amount of satisfaction.  In fact I believe they will be tormented more than anyone in hell since they deceived people into that eternal state.

I'm not sure if Satan and his minions can experience any happiness at all.  Their whole existence is based on misery and hopelessness.
