📢 Forum Update -  Hello everyone! I've made an improvement to the forum that should make following active discussions much easier. Beginning today, forum topics will display the most recent replies first (while keeping the original topic post at the top), so you no longer have to navigate through multiple pages to find the latest conversation. This change also helps improve the browsing experience in long-running discussions with many pages of replies. If you notice anything that doesn't seem to be working correctly or have any feedback, please let me know. — Richard G.

I more than anyone was glad to see the original RITAN back!  I missed the personal interactions, fellowship and family atmosphere.  As this was the lifeblood of RITA and RITAN!  The safety and privacy that was present surpassed other sites and was the biggest draw to our site.

That said,  it seems to me that we are a house divided, what with RITAN on facebook.  All but for the sake of a larger venue and dealing with unscreened personal agenda's the activity and involvement of the old RITAN, suffers greatly, IMHO!

Ongoing and vibrant threads seem to have vanished!  The level of inactivity speaks volumes.

Do we need both RITAN and Facebook?!  I think that some soul searching to answer this question is needed.  Presence or personality!  Then is RITAN dead, or is Facebook the future of this God inspired site?!

I think that an online discussion with all the Mods and family of RITAN needs to take place.  Which is better managed?  Which best fulfills this sites original calling?  Which venue inspires and accommodates personal growth?

Were both venues to glorify God, I would be in favor of keeping them both running.  But then the greatest question becomes which ministers to the Lord's heart, not the greatest number of people?!

Looking forward to active, honest and thorough feedback!

TR

Donna, well said! We are tired, weary, and worn, but the race is truly almost over, the prize is set before us, the signs surround us with glaring reality. We shall not fall asleep as some, but keep the lantern trimmed (keep the sin list very short), keep the light burning (watching), the bridegroom IS COMING— be ready in season. We will reap if we do not quit! :prayer-hands:

Some of us have been watching for decades . .   patience in waiting for sure proves a valuable lesson ~   . . . our God wonderfully announced  a crown given the watcher . . so not easy these days, and all we want IS to hear His call . .   . .   ~~  Feeling, too,  amidst a season of "when we think not" Jesus shall return . .  I do believe we ARE the generation to hear our Lord's rapture call . .  :yahoo:

I came to the old RITA after another forum I was a part of declined significantly in activity.  I was happy to have found another site that was similar to the other in its devotion of anticipating the Lord's return.  I was mostly a lurker but enjoyed reading the conversations and the insights given by some of the more technical Bible scholars like Heather.  However, not long after I joined the site decided to go the FB rout.  I do have an FB account and did visit the group page fairly frequently but as others have said it just wasn't the same.

So, I was extremely excited when I saw that they had restarted this site bur it quickly became evident that the activity was not nearly as robust as the old site and so I don't frequent this forum as much as I thought I would.  I too wonder about the decline in activity on prophecy forums and it does seem like there should be more activity not less as we get closer to the Lord's return, but all the so called signs that came and went without anything happening I think has really soured a lot of folks, unfortunately.  I pondered some of the theories, but never gave them a whole lot of credence.  Maybe the Lord had to take us through all of that to help us realize that at the end of the day "no one knows the day nor hour" and no one is going to figure it out.  We just have to occupy until he comes and hope many more through our testimony and witness will come to Christ in these waning hours.
