For those interested, I have completed my commentary for Revelation 22! http://trackingbibleprophecy.org/revelation22A.php :thankyou Amy! I’m sure you enjoyed working on Revelation 22 since it talks about heaven! I got a question on the 144,000 … do you think their ministry ends mid point of the tribulation or continues for the entire 7 years? And are they mostly staying in Israel or are they scattered thru out the world? I wonder if they also flee to Petra and will continue to teach the obedient Jews that head over there for safety as well? I enjoyed the study especially about the forehead. I've been "reading" my hubby's for 51 years. LOL Hi Geri! I take the view that the Bowl judgments take place in the final days of the Tribulation, and Revelation 14 shows us that the 144,000 witnesses are redeemed to Heaven before God pours out His final wrath in the bowls in Revelation 15, so I believe their ministry covers virtually the entire 7-year Tribulation, except the final days or weeks before Jesus returns. I also believe they will be scattered across the world preaching the Gospel, as we see a multitude of all the people of the world saved right after we learn about their ministry in Revelation 7. As I discuss in my Revelation 12 commentary, I believe a type of Elijah or John the Baptist will be out teaching the Jewish people in the wilderness, turning the hearts of the people toward God, as prophesied in Malachi 4. Now that's a new wrinkle! Some highbrow humour, right there. 😉
