Pastor Wood's explanation of Matthew 24-25 has cleared up a lot of uncertainty I used to have about who is taken and left, and about the 10 virgins. it always was strange to me, hearing the teaching that a bridegroom would reject his bride at the last minute before going into the wedding. a bride shouldn't be in fear till the wedding day of rejection. does she have enough oil or not, is she good enough or not.

Jesus doesn't reject the bride, He does not forsake part of the church before the wedding feast. The status of who is the bride is settled before the wedding or feast happen. The rapture reveals who is bride and who isn't. That isn't the "bride" waiting for the bridegroom in the parable of the 10 virgins. its those who were asked as guests to the wedding supper to be ready to enter the dinner celebration when the groom is ready for the dinner to begin. some guests are ready (the five wise), and five are not ready (the five foolish). only the wise are welcomed in. think of the sheep and goats. only sheep enter the kingdom. please if you have time or speed it up as MyWhiteStone suggested, have a listen about the 10 virgins.

see in Revelation 19. notice the sequence of events. the 5 wise virgins that get to go into the marriage supper are among the blessed that are called in 19:9. the bride is not called to her own marriage supper, it is in her honor and in honor of the groom. they are not invited, its all about them. guests are invited. the marriage has happened in heaven, there is 7 years for the bride and groom to be together (Daniel's 70th week) and then Christ returns to earth with the church (His bride) and the wedding supper is on earth. Some who survive the tribulation on earth get to enter the kingdom, others do not. Jesus sorts them out, but the bride has already become His wife. She is not rejected.

19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

I really appreciate Dr. Andy Woods teaching on Matthew 24 and 25! I listened to it on Sunday evening and I am happy to see that my fellow Ritan‘s can relate to it too. I was floored and I am currently listening to his teaching of Genesis as well! Powerful and packed with faith building truth and historical facts plus fresh revelations! Much better to listen to him and learn than to listen to the evil drum beat of the world. One thing though that went through my mind: How is the average Christian to understand all this? I believe we have so much arguing and confusion going on, because Christians listen to the teaching of religious traditions rather than to Holy Spirit inspired teachings! And what about those that don’t have access to solid teaching? I pray that ALL are coming to an understanding of the truth and that this horrible arguing stops!!! Maranatha ?????
