Except that God does work in steps, transformation is a series of steps. Like a metamorphosis during the life cycle of an animal, they struggle from one to the next. Like we struggle in this life then the next we won't. A person hears the gospel or receives a seed another seed is sowed, sometime later in life more seeds are sown then that person finally & hopefully says yes to the gospel message. God works in steps through people dropping little seeds to the lost, one sows another waters but God gives the increase. Once someone says yes, then I agree, they are saved instantaneously. That is really a beautifully done piece Geri. I love herbs, have planted about 12 different kinds this year. Even though I feel we will be gone this year, I planted a beautiful garden anyway, eating the produce now …tomatoes of course and making hot and sweet salsa, cucumbers (marinated a bunch - need to freeze some), yellow neck squash, zucchini (made several batches of my famous GF muffins), carrots, green peppers and banana peppers, onions (red and yellow), about to harvest my potatoes and garlic. The corn (early and late are doing wonderful. My cantaloupe and watermelon (planted late is looking nice). We have taken two batches of blueberries off the bushes and they are so sweet, we ate them instead of freezing them :mdrmdr: My strawberries the same, ate the sweetness. My carrots are the only disappointment so far, I have them but they are not doing well. The two cabbage heads made great coleslaw. The Japanese eggplants are awesome in the ratatouille that I made. Have been giving away a lot of veggies too. My herbs are flowering nicely, need to start drying some and I freeze some. Almost lost my dill to that beautiful but deadly catapiller — but he is toast now and the dill is making a come back. I have battled the Japanese Beatles this year and have put up the bags, chase them away from my garden and my grape vines and apple trees daily … So my garden in heaven will be bug free, except for the pollinators — I let the bees stay :mdrmdr: If we do not get to garden that is what I will miss the most. But as this is my last garden, I have made the most of it. I spend as much time as possible in it, as the weather and work allow. Amazing to watch everything grow from seed to harvest. I am looking forward to leaving and it will be sooner than later for sure…. “For the time is near …. Rev 22 :prayer-hands: Wow Tammie, you are a serious farmer! Good to hear you are enjoying the veggies and sweet fruits already! Must be a GREAT feeling eating your own crops. Mmmm .. homemade tomatoes with cucumbers salad and sweet strawberries and blueberries … can’t wait to hear about your harvest results of the cantaloupe and watermelons! Too funny with the catapiller is now history. We got the pests of the Japanese Beetles and slugs. 🤨 Thank you on the compliments on my mom’s herb sampler. I’m unpacking containers and found it the other day and wanted to display it. It brings back happier times in my life. Terry - I had to google what “The Hill” is … very interesting city! So are you Italian? I see Yogi Berra grew up in that town too. I love how they paint their fire hydrants 😆 Fried Raviolis sound awesome! 👍 I was clueless they prepare them this way and here I’m Italian and Sicilian. Is this a trademark cuisine dish from “The Hill” area? Thank you for sharing Amir's post Patricia. It reminds me of how I shifted my attitude during the storms from "why me Lord" and even to the point of "why me Lord, look at all that I've done for You, why are You doing this to me?" --- to -- "Ok Lord, what are You teaching me through these trials and tribulations?" While the storms still rage around me, my attitude is one of what can I learn from this? In my experience, what has happened post storm is that Jesus put someone in my path who is going through that same storm and now, having lived through it, can share the message of hope with that person and to share my experience of how I walked through and out of that specific storm. :thankyou I just love to grow things. — the family jokes me all the time about “just give it to her and it will grow”. Not entirely true but it is a standing family joke. The tomatoes are so good this year and the cucumbers — oh my — crisp and delicious. We can dip the cucumbers in humus for a meal. My lettuce is done for the season. I don’t intend to start a new set. Not enough time! Tomorrow I am making mango/tomato salsa. Everything comes from the garden, even the Cilantro, red onion, and peppers. I may have to make some more hot salsa as I have given away most of the jars and am down to two. We may not be here for the cantaloupe harvest :prayer-hands: - they wont be ready until mid august and neither will the corn. I am good with that — if it survives the first onset of catastrophes that hit, then someone will benefit from it as the food disappears — Joel 1:15-16 sounds like a replay of events  Yum! I can just smell the aroma — oh wait that is at y house :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: — goes great with zucchini/carrot/raisin muffins and a dab of cream cheese. :yahoo: I think you really love coffee! :mdrmdr:
