I sure hope so! 😁 Ooops. I told Bob we were all meeting for Sue's fried chicken. He said you're not off the hook; you're making that gravy that Tony and I drink with a straw. Ok, somebody mash the potatoes please so we have a proper place to put the gravy. I always wondered about that too, the way you described it. We're going along in life working & so forth then suddenly the whole world hears this long trumpet call, and it just goes on & on. Of course, rapture believers will hope it's the rapture, is this finally it? Platinic plates were moving some time ago and caused a long screeching low toned trumpet type sound, on u-tube people recorded the sounds all over the world. Anyone remember that? Sounded like when a large dump truck was tilting its gate to dump its load. Ppl were saying 'what is that?' I hope the trumpet sound goes off for a while before we are caught up. And then I hope that those who sleep in Christ are caught up and we get to see the entire world panic as that separate event comes to its conclusion, then those who remain we are caught up. I believe we are changed in a blink of an eye from mortal to immortal as the scripture describes. (For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.) We get our glorified bodies in a blink of an eye, not disappear like the left behind movie depicts, thats why so many ppl has this notion that we, poof, vanish! Cloths falling as we are. But we ascend upward in our glorified bodies with Jesus's glory radiating off of us, like the moon reflects the suns light. I tend to agree with your assessment that the rapture might be a sequence of events. But hey, we'll find out. P.S. This is just talk back & forth as if we were just fishing or something having a conversation, not, you are wrong & here is why! We can wonder. Thats a good-looking cup of coffee. :groan
