Frankly, anything with less talk, works for me. 🙂

Heidi,

Not sure if you tried this method yet or just been going to group prayer meetings thinking if more people pray … you will get your results?

I recall when my dad needed “wisdom and guidance” he had personal devotions first and then prayed specifically for guidance in what to do/asked for wisdom … its a personal prayer one-on-one with God.   Then he slept on it and by morning time he usually had his answer … if he had a peace about it … then he proceeded … if he still felt unsure/had doubts … he quickly got out of that deal.

This verse promises the Lord will give us wisdom … if we ask … but notice the way to go about it …  its NOT in a group prayer meeting with others …

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Thank you so much Geri. I did not notice that specifically prayer for wisdom and guidance, it's just between you and God.

That was not my reason for attending the study. I was trying to connect with people at the new church.

Last year, I was able to get myself to do something that I find so scary. Now I do it without care. I am pretty comfortable with it.

I have one more fear that I am trying to overcome. I am trying to do it soon. Please pray that I can do it and not find it traumatic.

I am having problems with tenants playing very loud music again. it is hard to feel that someone is hitting you constantly on the head (base or drums, whatever you want to call it) they also keep throwing things on the floor and the ceiling above me is shaking. I called the city, they said I can file a complaint and they will assign an investigating officer.

I was a bit nervous about filing the complaint and the shaking above is not making it easier to concentrate.

I think these people upstairs are trouble. once the police and paramedics had to come because someone was drunk.

I think this is an attack of the enemy too, cause the shaking ceiling is scary for me.

Heidi, is there any reason management won't approach the noise makers? That's their job? They really should be the one filing the complaint for all the residents who are affected.

I have been trying for years. There is loud music, I call the super, he asks me where it is coming from. I am not sure where. He says I will come to your apartment and try to figure out where it is coming from. by the time, he comes (he has to finish something first) the noise either stopped or he walks in and says: "oh, this is just a little base"

"just a little base" seems to be his favorite phrase. sometimes it is not too loud, but you still constantly feel like someone is pounding on your head.

I emailed management. Nothing.

I told them many times can you put notices up asking people not to play loud music. Nothing, they did not do anything.

I was also told sometimes that they have the right and I can only complain if it happens after 10 pm.

a paralegal friend told me I have the right to complain anytime (does not have to be after 10 pm) I called the city, they said they need the address of where the music is coming from and I can file a complaint.

I don't know if I can remain anonymous, the neighbors will guess who complained as I have spoken with them before. What if they start turning the music louder, or worse, started causing more thuds and me getting more scared with the ceiling shaking. That would be too scary for me.

I was wondering if anybody else was affected by this too … what about the neighbor’s on both sides of the loud makers?  But if they aren’t complaining … are those units empty or are those owners also partying with them?

I’m shocked this is happening because its a given any condo/apartments … that is usually the #1 rule  “no loud music indoors” AND “no music outdoors” - need to wear headphone/headset.

Personally I would not file a complaint … its going to back fire BIG TIME especially if you are the only one filing.  You mentioned before the super gave you an option to move to another unit.  Why not check that unit out … perhaps its recently remodel?   If it looks decent … then mention to the super that since you are being inconvenienced and you’re female and alone … you are going to need his help in moving the heavy furniture/boxes, etc.   See what he says …
