I was looking up Sivan 23 … to see what other calamities happened on that date in history … we have this

Jeroboam Barricades Jerusalem (797 BCE)
After King Solomon's passing in 797 BCE, ten of the twelve tribes of Israel, led by Jeroboam ben Nebat of the tribe of Ephraim, rebelled against Solomon's son and heir, Rehoboam. The Holy Land split into two kingdoms: the "Kingdom of Israel" in the north, with Jeroboam as its king and the city of Samaria as its capital; and the southern "Kingdom of Judah" with its capital Jerusalem, where Rehoboam ruled over the two tribes (Judah and Benjamin) that remained loyal to the royal house of David. The spiritual center of the land, however, remained Jerusalem, where the Holy Temple built by Solomon stood, and where every Jew was obligated to make a thrice-yearly pilgrimage for the festivals of Passover, Shavuot and Sukkot. Seeing this as a threat to his sovereignty, Jeroboam set up, on Sivan 23 of that year, roadblocks to prevent the people's pilgrimage to Jerusalem, introducing instead the worship of two idols, in the form of gold calves, which he enshrined on the northern and southern boundaries of his realm.

The barricades remained in place for 223 years, until Hoshea ben Elah, the last king of the Northern Kingdom, had them removed on the 15th of Av of 574 BCE.

And in American history …

Sivan 23

On this day in June 1962, the U.S. Supreme Court outlawed the New York State Regent's Prayer in public schools, on the grounds that it violated the separation of Church and State.

Hmmm … coincidence with removing God from our society and replacing with false gods on this particular day?  If we are raptured in April or May … I wonder if the AC will set up his idols in the Chrislam Abrahamic House of Worship on Sivan 23 -  it will fall on June 12, 2023?

Glad you enjoyed it, Tammie,  I thought it was so interesting too.

Here’s another one from yesterday … this is 24 minutes long … I sure hope we are in the season and this is thee year.  It sure is getting dark down here as we wait and wait and wait … and we don’t feel at home in this world any more.

Wow Geri! Just wow! I’ve never thought of Psalm 23 as a rapture prophecy, and I have studied and meditated on this psalm for many hours, because it has significant personal value to me for various reasons. Where David says in verse 4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley…” he actually changes voice from the third person to the first person; it becomes profoundly personal. In verse 5 the spread table, the kingly anointing and unlimited joy, and in verse 6 “I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever”. Wow!

And if it’s truly a type and shadow of the Lord crossing (passing) over the Kidron Valley, then we’re out of here soon y’all! (I always wanted to say y’all! :mdrmdr: )

Honestly, I can write pages about what the Lord has shown me and what I’ve discovered about this beautiful psalm, but this is new. Isn’t the Word amazing?
