The House Judiciary Committee holds a hearing investigating the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) on Tuesday, June 9. The hearing will “explore recently released information revealing that the SPLC has funneled money to some extremists, raising questions whether the SPLC has been artificially elevating the domestic extremist threat and misleading its donors.” The Department of Justice said in an indictment last week that the far-left SPLC “used their donors’ money ‘to fund the leaders and organizations of racist groups, including the Ku Klux Klan, the Aryan Nations, and the National Alliance.'” “The SPLC’s paid informants (‘field sources’) engaged in the active promotion of racist groups at the same time that the SPLC was denouncing the same groups on its website,” the DOJ said in Tuesday’s superseding indictment. The department goes on to allege that $4.1 million worth of tax-exempt funds were used to pay these individuals whose activities even included recruiting new members and buying materials for cross burnings and KKK robes and hoods. The far-left organization is still facing 11 counts of wire fraud, false statements to a bank, and money laundering conspiracy, all charges which were filed in April. The Reflecting Pool in Washington, DC, is wowing skeptics after months of criticism from the radical left. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum pointed out that former President Obama’s administration closed the Reflecting Pool for two years, spending a whopping $38 million attempting to repair it, and yet did not do the job. President Trump’s fix is comprehensive and included draining the pool, sand blasting, repairing all of the pipes and bubblers, and restoring the color. The bottom of the pool, Burgum explained, had turned gray, and Trump chose American flag blue as the bottom color. Images of the nearly finished Reflecting Pool are circulating on social media, and people like what they see so far. “The water is ON, the Reflecting Pool is reflecting, and D.C. is looking better than ever,” the White House declared. “We are so back. THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP. ” Speaking to Breitbart News Daily about the upgrade, Interior Secretary Burgum said there were many facets to this repair, but America is fortunate to have the “master builder” in charge to get it done. Referring to the fact that prior to President Trump’s renovations, the pool was leaking 45,000 gallons of water a day, Burgum said, “We had to have water continuously running into it just to keep even. All of that’s going to be taken care of, because we’ve got the master builder,” Burgum said. “We’ve got President Trump. You know, he’s the only guy that’s ever occupied that office that’s done the level of complex construction projects. And he loves construction workers. He loves construction, and he knows exactly what he’s talking about on these projects.” The Department of Justice has filed cases to de-naturalize 17 legalized migrants after decades of widespread citizenship fraud in the nation’s immigration system. “Gaining U.S. citizenship is a privilege and under the steadfast leadership of President Trump, this Department of Justice maintains a zero-tolerance policy for the abuse of this process,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a department statement. “American citizenship is a privilege, and it must be earned honestly,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. “If you come here break our laws, and lie in your immigration proceedings, you forfeit that privilege,” he added. Federal law allows the deportation of migrants who committed deception during the citizenship process. Under Trump, officials at DHS are also raising the standard of behavior expected before naturalization and are raising the difficulty of passing the citizenship test. The State Department is dismantling birth tourism networks across Africa and Europe, officials announced on Wednesday. An estimated 33,000 United States-born children are rewarded birthright American citizenship annually solely because their foreign parents arrived in the United States on a temporary visa, often a tourist visa, before they were born. Decades later, those American-born children can sponsor their parents for green cards. The birth tourism industry is widespread among Turkish nationals in New York City, Chinese nationals in California, Russian nationals in Florida, and Middle Easterners in Illinois... In Europe, a single U.S. embassy has uncovered more than 400 suspected cases of birth tourism since 2024, leading investigators to at least six companies that coach Europeans on how best to secure a U.S. temporary visa without revealing that their sole purpose for travel is to deliver their children in America. Multiple reports published this week indicate that the State Department is encouraging European countries to impose restrictions on travelers from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Uganda, and neighboring areas to contain the spread of the Ebola virus. Reuters reported on Tuesday that the government of President Donald Trump issued a formal statement encouraging the European Union to consider travel limitations on those from affected regions in Africa. "Other countries must do their part to ensure this outbreak does not spread further. Action is required now. That includes financial contributions and implementing commonsense restrictions on travel from the affected area,” an anonymous U.S. official told Reuters. The W.H.O. has documented 617 confirmed cases of Ebola Bundibugyo in the DRC and Uganda during the current outbreak as of Tuesday, including 117 deaths and 27 people making full recoveries. Another 138 people have been identified as “suspected,” but not confirmed, Ebola cases.
