President Donald Trump is weighing imminent military action against Iran that could come “in the next 24 hours,” according to a Reuters report citing European officials, as the Pentagon begins pulling personnel from key U.S. bases across the Middle East and Tehran warns it would retaliate if Washington strikes. The Reuters report, published Wednesday, https://www.reuters.com/world/china/death-toll-iran-approaches-2600-rights-group-reports-2026-01-14 /" target="_blank" rel="noopener external">said two European officials assessed U.S. military intervention now appeared likely, with one saying it could come within the next 24 hours, while an Israeli official similarly said it appeared Trump had made a decision to intervene — though the scope and timing remained unclear. The determination came as the United States began withdrawing some personnel from bases in the region, a move the report said was widely viewed as preparation for possible strikes. Bye, Bye Tariff-Inflation Fears The December Consumer Price Index (CPI), released Tuesday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, delivers a verdict on the great tariff inflation panic of 2025: the predicted price surge mostly didn’t happen, and it is already over. Commodities less food and energy—the category most directly exposed to tariffs on imported manufactured goods—were flat in December. Zero percent. New vehicles, flat. Used cars, down 1.1 percent. Appliances, down 4.3 percent for the month. These are precisely the categories where tariff critics predicted we’d see surging prices as importers passed costs through to American consumers. The data confirms what we’ve been documenting throughout the year: businesses absorbed tariff costs through margin compression and pushing tariff costs back on suppliers rather than passing them to consumers. Import-competing domestic manufacturers, rather than exploiting tariffs as cover for price increases, faced intensified competitive pressure as foreign suppliers cut prices to maintain market share. This shouldn’t surprise anyone familiar with how markets actually work. Companies operate in competitive environments. Most can’t simply add their cost increases to the sticker price and assume customers will pay. They adjust. They find efficiencies. They squeeze margins. They renegotiate with suppliers. As price theory has long ago taught us, it’s not the retail price that adjusts to the cost of inputs but the cost of inputs that adjusts to retail prices. The December CPI data is clear: the tariff inflation crisis was an elite panic disconnected from economic reality. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is pouring “fuel on the fire” in Minnesota by calling on “radical leftists to RESIST and HARASS federal law enforcement,” a social media site for House Republicans declared. “He also called federal immigration enforcement in Minnesota an ‘occupation’… Democrats have repeatedly chosen to side with criminal illegal aliens over Americans,” said a Thursday tweet from Michigan Rep. Lisa McClain’s Republican Conference group. The tweet was posted after Walz used a provocative speech on Wednesday to call on his supporters to defend the Democrats’ corrupt political machine in Minneapolis from the federal investigation. The anti-federal law enforcement speech is getting slammed by Republican-aligned speakers. “Walz cannot be more explicit — this buffoon believes he is seceding from the Union,” said a Friday tweet from TV commentator Scott Jennings. “We are well into Insurrection Act territory,” he added. https://www.breitbart.com/crime/2026/01/15/tim-walz-urges-minnesotans-to-resist-federal-occupation/ Communist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s “Renter Czar” Cea Weaver can be seen admitting on video that her goal is to force every American into public housing. While the date of the video is unknown, the intent is clear. The racist Weaver sees rent control as a means to destabilize the housing market. When the government, rather than the market, decides how much a landlord can charge for rent, it decreases the value of the property. Here she is openly explaining her fascist goals… "The beauty of rent stabilization and rent control is that it weakens the speculative value of the real estate asset. The value is no longer based on what the landlord is able to get, but rather it’s based on a state public board deciding how much rent is going up. "But the idea is that we could weaken the entire industry at once through a strong rent control campaign, and that would strengthen our ability to fight for social housing." This is why fascists like Mamdani and his obviously unstable renter czar are so eager to seize property. Property ownership is the primary key to independence for the middle class. If you’re not wealthy, home ownership allows you to retire and live life on your own terms. If you don’t own a home, especially if you rent your home, you become an indentured servant to your landlord, and Cea Weaver wants your landlord to be the State. If the State is your landlord, you must live by the State’s rules. That’s what Democrats want – you under their thumb and them in full control over your life.Report: U.S. Military Intervention in Iran Could Begin Within 24 Hours — Bases Pull Personnel, Shift Posture Across Region:
