If you do it as a side line job, strictly for brand new clients not represented by your current employer, I see no problem with it.

I agree with Loz. You really don't want to take any customers with you. No matter how tempting. That opens up a world of different unattractive possibilities. It can get pretty sticky. If it were me I would not be contacting the clients but would be looking for side work from new contacts.

Thank you Loz and Yohanan.

Is it Ok if I ask current customers if they know of  someone else who needs help? there are people who are not getting our services either  because they are not eligible or because they are working and can't attend our classes because of their schedule. If I contact clients I get along with and ask them to refer someone like that. Is that OK?

sorry, I am repeating myself but Loz said it is OK, Yohanan agreed with Loz but then I think  you are saying to get new customers (not to contact existing clients to give me referral) - unless I misunderstood what you were saying

Yohanan, I won't be taking any customers with me. Just asking a few customers whom I have a good relationship with, if they know of someone who could use my services. (and that person who might become my client would be someone who was never connected to our agency)

Heidi,

I have had the Covid poison twice, once very bad and a second time a bit milder. I took Ivermectin and so did my Mom (she had it really bad and I worked hard to keep her out of the hospital) we both recovered very quickly. I keep it on hand, as a back up. It is fairly inexpensive and worth it. As Kolleen said the hype is to scare you away from what is working. Keep up the vitamin routine as well and I take Glutathione twice daily.

It’s a thin line between being ethical and not. Every company has different policies regarding information and how you obtain it. Not knowing your company’s policy I can’t say. The best way to toe the ethical line is to stay clear of anything that could be interpreted as data theft or intellectual property theft. Any company I’ve ever worked for would frown on me harvesting information from their clients, on their time, that would allow me to start a revenue generating entity while I still worked for them. That would also be stealing the company’s time. If I were to ever look for referrals it would be after I was no longer employed by that company and even then I would not be taking any of there customers. Most companies have a “no compete” clause in the employment contract so you will want to know what that is. If you end up doing something that they can sue you for just remember that their pockets are much deeper than yours. You will definitely want to know what the legal ramifications are for anything you do. They may not permit you by contract to work a second income producing job. Be sure to check carefully.

I have the day off. My colleague called me to tell me that they hired 2 people to replace us. We will meet them in the next meeting. (wonder what the manager is going to say for the introduction with all of us there)

My colleague said she will not agree to train the new employees and won't give them all info that she has. She told me she called several of her clients and told them why she is being let go. Her clients are angry and will not be doing business with our organization anymore.

I will start calling some of my clients tomorrow. I suspect the same will happen.

My colleague told my manager she needs to wrap up with data entry and her clients have to be referred to someone else as of today. The manager asked her to give her one day to figure out  who to refer them too .

Tomorrow, I will tell my manager the same.

I am sure there will be some chaos at work but this is not my problem. Sorry!

They have been coercing us and putting us under severe stress for months.

I need all them time I have left for data entry (we changed to a new system, that is why there is so much data entry to do)

let them figure everything else out.

Something came up for me and for the next week, I will have to be somewhere for around  4 hours.  I told my manager I need to adjust my schedule at work because  of this. I told her if  I leave my apartment for 4 hours, I will log into my computer and make up the 4 hours when I come back even if I am working into the evening.

She called me and went on a rant that she can't not know where i am going to be for 4 hours every day ( I thought I just told her) she went on about how are clients are the most important thing and that she would like me to finish data entry by Dec. 24 not the end of the year anymore. Then she said, ok, I will make an exception for you this time, but it's  only an exception.

I hung up the phone feeling bad and thinking I can't really tell work that for a week, I need to adjust my schedule..................I also thought how nice of my manager to be so concerned about our clients.

today, I changed my mind and was angry at what happened.

First.  the client is the most important thing to her because that is, in a way, her job security.

Second, she should not have gone on such a rant and spoke 2 or 3 times that she will make an exception for me when I am getting thrown out because I did not want a lethal injection.

My colleague called later. She said our manager asked her to give her work phone to the new employee. she started crying because she felt they were really disposing of her and fast.

She also talked about how the manager wants her to make sure all data entry is taken care of among other things.....

she said her husband comforted her  and said not to bother with taking care of lots of things because of  the way she is being thrown out and the reason.

that made me angrier with them and more determined to start using sick days and do what I have to do for myself cause I am the important one now, being treated in such a way and still needing to find employment for myself.

As for my colleague, she started with us as  a volunteer. I admired her from the first day I worked with her. She was a very hard working volunteer, very reliable and punctual. I was really impressed. I told her I remember her volunteer days and how much she gave the agency. I told her: their loss and shame on them.

I just spoke to Legal Shield and cancelled my membership.  a nice lady from their head office in the USA asked me why. I told her attorneys are saying that my employer has the right to mandate the shots. a lawyer even went on about how you can't do anything without a shot in Canada anymore and the supreme court will back it up.

She said what is going on worldwide is unchartered territory for us and we are still learning...............

I told her the mandates are unconstitutional and in violation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, if an attorney can's see that, then it's scary. I need to cancel my membership.
