Dog meat is very popular in South Korea. I declined any and all offers to go to a dog meat restaurant. It is a cruel and barbaric practice. They beat the dogs before killing them because they say it increases the adrenaline and makes it taste better. Perhaps this is an adrenochrome type of thing. :negative: Anyway, the Oregonians behind this have the right idea, I suppose. As mentioned, there is going to be a time when animals are not used for livestock or eaten anymore. They just tragically reject the One True and Living God who is going to bring it all about. I was just reading the plot of the Soylent Green 1973 movie. Did you know the movie was set in the year 2022 for that Soylent Company to be serving “people as food” 🙁 The elite’s sinister plan is right on track ... Wikipedia Plot Soylent Industries, which derives its name from a combination of "soy" and "lentil", controls the food supply of half of the world and sells the artificially produced wafers, including "Soylent Red" and "Soylent Yellow". Their latest product is the far more flavorful and nutritious "Soylent Green", advertised as being made from ocean plankton, but is in short supply. As a result of the weekly supply bottlenecks, the hungry masses regularly riot, and they are brutally removed from the streets by means of police vehicles that scoop the rioters with large shovels and dump them within the vehicle's container. Thorn (Charlton Heston) boards a truck transporting bodies from the euthanasia center to a recycling plant, where the secret is revealed – human corpses are being converted into Soylent Green. Thorn is spotted and kills his attackers, but is himself wounded. As Thorn is tended to by paramedics, he urges his police chief to spread the truth he has discovered and initiate proceedings against the company. While being taken away, Thorn shouts out to the surrounding crowd, "Soylent Green is people!" - Fair Use - Here in Oregon, there are lots of petitions like this one, lol. We kinda have a radar for the ones that will gain any trackage, and this isn't one of them. Now, I have done plenty of facepalms whenever Oregon hits national/international news. Sigh. It's such a beautiful state, with lots of really decent, God fearing people. But we are outnumbered by the big cities and don't get much of a say 🙁 That's true. Oregon is a gorgeous state and has a large population of conservatives but, just like California, the big cities are quite liberal. Not everyone in Oregon is a tree hugger and not everyone in California is a nut, flake, or fruit. We do love our outdoors. There is actually an exodus going on right now: many of our friends are leaving. We've never seen anything like it. And their state reasons are pretty specific. They are tired of the tight restrictions over the last year. It's painful to see them go. They are going to Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, Idaho, possibly Texas. Send some of them down to Georgia!! We could use a big influx of conservatives.
By the year 2022, the cumulative effects of overpopulation, pollution, and some apparent climate catastrophe have caused severe worldwide shortages of food, water and housing.
