"The communist regime of North Korea is not joking. It has banned its citizens from displays of happiness for 11 days in order to honor the 10-year anniversary of the death of brutal dictator Kim Jong-il." "An explicit ban on laughter and alcohol consumption tops the list of government decrees mandated during the 11-day period of mourning. On Friday’s exact anniversary of Kim Jong-il’s death, North Koreans will even be banned from going grocery shopping as they are expected to applaud the brutal rule of their former leader." Well, things aren’t much better in Australia and who would ever thought that besides the Babylon Bee? Banned their citizens from displaying happiness for 11 days? That's stupid. However, that might not be too hard for the citizens. Unfortunately, I am not sure if they know what happiness means living in N. Korea and with such tyranny. So sad! Lord Jesus, comfort Your children in North Korea ??? I had an opportunity to go to North Korea once. When I lived in South Korea I was offered a weekend tour that took you to a "seaside resort" in North Korea for $400. The allure of getting another stamp in the passport appealed to some of my coworkers. I refused as I didn't want to fund in any way, that brutal, murderous regime. "Not one penny in Kim Jong Il's pocket", I said. It will be a glorious day and there will be great rejoicing when that wicked, murderous regime finally collapses. Amen, Jesus Girl, God comfort them and save those who aren't. They will have plenty of happiness in heaven and no one telling them they can't be happy. When I worked in Seoul I took a 1/2 day tour to the DMZ and the 3rd tunnel. I still remember the feeling of tension in the air and the sadness that I felt for those who lived on the other side of the DMZ. I can't imagine living under the oppression - likely similar oppression that is coming after we are gone.
