'Consider the cultural implications': USA Today warns that using words like 'aloha' and 'hola' could be problematic:

While many Americans sprinkle non-English vocabulary into their everyday speech, a piece posted by USA Today suggests that using words borrowed from other languages, such as "aloha," "hola," and "shalom," could potentially be problematic, depending on why and how they are used.

"It's a greeting or a farewell, but the meaning is deeper," director of Pacific Islands Studies at the University of Utah Maile Arvin said about the Hawaiian word "aloha," according to the outlet. "One of my Hawaiian language teachers taught it to me as 'Aloha means recognizing yourself in everyone and everything you meet.'"

The USA Today piece, which was authored by David Oliver, suggests that non-Hawaiians using the word could come across like mockery.

"Language is too critical to our culture, that we can't just casually use language in ways that might offend and/or even harm, do harm to certain groups of people," director of the Frederick Douglass Institute of African & African-American Studies at the University of Rochester Jeffrey McCune said, according to USA Today.

[Most people use language to communicate, not to mock others.  And people of other language groups almost always appreciate that you are trying to reach out to them. Aloha in Hawaii is something everybody says.  It's a friendly greeting.  This woke stuff is getting old!]

Swiss MP At Davos: Change Living Environments To Force The Public To Follow Climate Goals:

Though the 2023 meeting has just started, it is not disappointing so far in terms of revelations of technocracy.  Case in point:  Swiss MP Bastien Girod painted a vision of the near future in which governments change the nature of how population is organized.  The grand idea?  To focus people into tightly controlled cities designed around carbon controls and where cars are illegal for individuals to own.  And, to establish penalties for businesses that do not conform to bureaucratic climate change policies.

The exploitation of global warming hysteria despite all scientific evidence to the contrary remains the primary topic and tool of globalism.  Climate organizations claim that carbon emissions substantially increased for the past eight years yet global temperatures have not increased in same period according to the latest NOAA data.  Not only that, but global temps have only risen less than 1 degree C in the past 100 years.  There is still no concrete evidence that carbon emissions have a causation relationship with changes in global temperatures.  Yet, this false threat is the rallying cry of the Davos elite and their continuing demands for freedom-crushing centralization.

Report: Microsoft to lay off 11,000 employees:

Microsoft is preparing to axe thousands of jobs in the latest move by one of the world's biggest technology companies to reduce its workforce in the face of a slowing global economy, Sky News reported on Tuesday.

The US software giant could announce plans to cull a significant number of posts around the world within a matter of days, the report said.

Microsoft, which employs more than 220,000 people, including 6,000 in the UK, is said to be contemplating cutting roughly 5% of its workforce, which if accurate would equate to approximately 11,000 jobs, according to Sky News.

The report comes after a slew of large tech companies have laid off employees in recent weeks. One of these companies is Amazon, which announced plans to lay off more than 18,000 employees earlier this month.  Salesforce, the cloud software provider, said it would cut 8,000 jobs, while Meta, the owner of Facebook, is reducing its workforce by approximately 11,000 roles.

The Mainstream Media Admits That We Are Facing “The Worst Food Crisis In Modern History”:

People on the other side of the planet are dropping dead from starvation right now, but most people don’t even realize that this is happening.  Unfortunately, most people just assume that everything is fine and dandy.  If you are one of those people that believe that everything is just wonderful, I would encourage you to pay close attention to the details that I am about to share with you.  Global hunger is rapidly spreading, and that is because global food supplies have been getting tighter and tighter.  If current trends continue, we could potentially be facing a nightmare scenario before this calendar year is over.

Just because you still may have enough food to eat doesn’t mean that everybody else is okay.  In fact, things have already gotten so bad that even CNN is admitting that we are facing “the worst food crisis in modern history”…

Yet the world is still in the grips of the worst food crisis in modern history, as Russia’s war in Ukraine shakes global agricultural systems already grappling with the effects of extreme weather and the pandemic. Market conditions may have improved in recent months, but experts do not expect imminent relief.

That means more pain for vulnerable communities already struggling with hunger. It also boosts the risk of starvation and famine in countries such as Somalia, which is contending with what the United Nations describes as a “catastrophic” food emergency.

Sadly, it isn’t just in Somalia where the food crisis has reached “catastrophic” proportions.  According to Reuters, the entire continent is now dealing with the worst food crisis that Africa “has ever seen”…

Do you remember all those years when Sally Struthers was begging us to feed the starving children in Africa?  Well, the truth is that conditions are now far worse than when she was making those commercials.

Economic conditions are changing so rapidly now, and nothing will ever be quite the same again.  As we move forward, the widespread use of “beetleburgers” is one of the “solutions” that the global elite are starting to push…

Beetleburgers could soon be helping to feed the world, according to new research. The creepy crawlers’ larvae — better known as mealworms — could act as a meat alternative to alleviate hunger worldwide. The process uses a fraction of the land and water and emits a smaller carbon footprint in comparison to traditional farming.

To make this a reality, French biotech company Ynsect is planning a global network of insect farms, including nurseries and slaughterhouses. A pilot plant has already been set up at Dole in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region of France.
