Mortgage interest rates in Australia are going to be increased in June. Plus the prices here of groceries and oil have skyrocketed in recent weeks. This is definitely a worldwide phenomenon. I believe we are seeing the foreshadowing of the Third Seal Judgement taking place right now but thankfully we will be gone before then. All of this just means we are super-close to the Rapture! :yahoo:

Barack Obama Calls for More Censorship: First Amendment ‘Does Not Apply to Facebook and Twitter’:

Former President Barack Obama in a major speech on Thursday called for more regulation of social media content, in order to diminish “disinformation.”

“The First Amendment is a check on the power of the state. It doesn’t apply to private companies like Facebook and Twitter,” he said, calling for more “value judgments” on content moderation and censorship on social media.

The former president complained that current content models for social media platforms allowed all content to flow equally.

“[O]ver time we lose our capacity to distinguish between fact, opinion, and wholesale fiction. Or maybe we just stop caring,” he said.

Obama also complained that an overwhelming flood of information made it difficult to discern the truth.  “Our brains aren’t accustomed to taking in this much information this fast, and a lot of us are experiencing overload,” he said.

Obama warned that dangerous people were using social media to distract the public.

“While content moderation can limit the distribution of clearly dangerous content, it doesn’t go far enough,” Obama added.

“Regulation has to be part of the answer,” Obama said, calling for ways to start “slowing the spread of harmful content” online.  He also called for social media algorithms to be regulated by government inspectors and regulators, just like other industries.

Disinformation, buyer beware!

Disinformation is not on anyone’s list of worries, except for the government!

More on the “mysterious” fires at these manufacturing food plants …

Here are some comments:

I did not realize that a fire can quite easily be started through cyber attacks. Monkeywerx reported on this issue with several food processing plants "mysteriously" catching on fire and how this can be just one result of cyber criminals who can trigger hot spots within equipment in the plants.

Someone else  said and isn’t it strange that the sprinkler systems in these plants didn’t help put out the fires … all the facilities burnt down.

I live in South Dakota. We have that so called bird flu. Last I knew they had euthanized 2 million turkeys and I don’t know how many chickens. I have also noticed reading the paper the weirdest food recalls for strange reasons. One was all the soft shells because they were mislabeled for example! People are getting sick eating lucky charms. We have a Tyson meat factory here it will probably go too.

Control food, control people. Whoever is causing these blazes want people scared.

And starving people will do anything for food … expect crime to increase …

Nestle in my hometown Jonesboro, AR had a major fire that has shut down the plant for 8 weeks! It was a strange fire that took them days to put out because they could not find the source of the fire. It did start in the hot pocket section of the factory.

But what is going on in shipping off the coast of China is downright apocalyptic. If I were not a Christian, I would be scared witless.

Over 1,000 cargo ships sitting in the ocean. People have no clue the famine coming this fall. No one listens.

It looks more like 10,000 from the sit-rep. Off the coast of Shanghai, China. The largest shipping port in the world.

This person is from Australia

Curious if this sort of destruction is happening all over the world. One of the meat facilities near me closed permanently at the end of last year and the mushroom factory and Steggals (chicken processing) near Brisbane (just an hour from me) shut at the end of last year (both facilities and land are currently for sale).
