Yea,  my wife and I saw the "Left Behind" with Nicholas Cage a few year ago...was not very good.  I liked the original one, except I don't care for Kirk Cameron who is a loadship salvation MacArthur accolade.

I don't want to get off point too much, but every once in a while I will watch the 1970' s  rapture/ trib film series, "A thief in the Night" filmed low budget in the Des Moines IA. area. I can't help getting a chuckle with these cheezy, campy teen geared movies. and the music and hippy clothing styles. (LOL).   But there is a sobering content with the antichrist forces controlling people with the mark of the beast.  I think we are beginning to see a prelude of this today with the vax mandates.

Here it is in YouTube format — one hour long for those who can’t remember it …

Much of the movies content sounds too much like today's big brother government we have now.  The movie is cheezy, campy, but has some scary realism of today.  Thanks for the video Tammie.

There is a second sequel "A Distant Thunder."  It's about as good. It skips back and forth from before the rapture to their tribulation experience.  The main character Patty seems to spend a lot of time just screaming.  But she holds out and does not take the mark of the beast and has to face the guillotine.  I think this sequel was made in 1978.

I just finished watching “A Thief in the Night” film.  Interesting how the writers back then perceived how life would be right before the rapture.  No covid. No insane stress … just calm as can be before it happened.  And the instrument to give out the mark … look and sounded like a vintage Remington electric men’s razor. :mdrmdr:
