LAPD: 2 Looters Arrested, Impersonating Firefighters, in Palisades Fire:

Two looters were arrested recently after they dressed as firefighters and entered local homes vacated in the Palisades Fire, according to information given by the Los Angeles Police Department to community members Saturday evening.

Police have arrested dozens of would-be looters who have targeted the affluent Pacific Palisades, devastated by the fire that raged last week. Many neighborhoods were destroyed, but some homes remain intact — enticing looters.

The police said that in addition to twenty looters who had been arrested in the first days of the fire, seven looters had been arrested more recently. Some 400 officers were assigned to the Palisades Fire, which began in the Palisades but has since spread west to Malibu and east to the hills overlooking Bel Air. The blaze has burned 23,654 acres thus far and is only 11% contained, as of Saturday night.

PHOTO — Report: 100 L.A. Fire Trucks Wait for Repair as Deadly Blazes Burn City:

Approximately 100 Los Angeles firefighting vehicles have reportedly been sitting in a repair lot for quite some time as fires devastate community members, leaving homes and businesses in ashes.

Per the Daily Mail, a local activist took photos of the LA Fire Department’s Bureau of Supply and Maintenance lot at North Avenue 19 that apparently show the red vehicles parked next to each other, the outlet reported on Tuesday.

During a recent interview, LAFD Fire Chief  said, “We have over 100 fire apparatus out of service. Having these apparatus and the proper amount of mechanics would have helped.”

The Mail article continued:

The LAFD has a total of 183 trucks, meaning that more than half of the city’s fire trucks are out of commission as the fires continue to burn through dense urban spaces, killing at least 24, displacing more than 200,000 and destroying over 12,000 buildings.

A reporter for the outlet said there were fire engines, ambulances, and ladder trucks at the site. “This is essentially a maintenance yard,” he said, noting there had been a budget request from Crowley.

She told the fire commission that “The LAFD emergency fleet is in constant state of disrepair attributed to years of deferred maintenance, deferred vehicle replacement, and the lack of resources for adequate staffing and replacement parts."

Meanwhile, Los Angeles residents are demanding Mayor Karen Bass (D) be recalled via a petition that has as of Tuesday morning reached 135,442 signatures, per Breitbart News.

Remember Maui where blue color roofed houses were left standing?

I just saw on the TV news a blue VW in perfect condition with destruction all around.

‘Criminal Negligence’ — Former US Attorney for Kamala Harris Drops Bombshell Video Exposing That LA Firefighters Took Nearly 45 Minutes to Respond to the Pacific Palisades Blaze, Which Could Have Been Contained:

Michel Valentine, a former U.S. Attorney who once worked under Kamala Harris, has released damning footage of firefighters taking nearly 45 minutes to respond to a Pacific Palisades fire that could have been contained.

Valentine’s video, shared exclusively with NewsNation’s Rich McHugh, captures the fire’s rapid escalation as he watched helplessly from his home.

The Pacific Palisades resident described an “intense plume of smoke” that grew exponentially as precious minutes ticked away without action.

The fire was first reported at 10:29 a.m. last Tuesday when Valentine’s wife, out walking their dog, spotted smoke and immediately called 911.

Despite the growing inferno, firefighting efforts didn’t begin until 11:13 a.m., nearly 45 minutes after the initial call.

Contrary to claims that no amount of water could have prevented the fire’s spread, Valentine firmly believes early and aggressive intervention could have contained it.

The Los Angeles Fire Department has confirmed the timeline of the 911 call but has yet to provide an explanation for the delay in deploying resources.

“In my opinion, as a former prosecutor, this verges on criminal negligence, I say. It’s just wrong. A lot of people are at fault.”

“I think Mayor Bass bears the ultimate responsibility for this failure, and I think she should be held accountable. There’s no way that I could trust her again as my mayor in light of this tragedy, there’s no way.”

Plane Crash in Philadelphia Leads to Explosions, Buildings on Fire:

A plane crash in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, reportedly led to a large explosion and several buildings on fire, according to several reports.

UPDATE 8:30 p.m. ET — A recording appears to have captured a conversation between the air traffic controller in the tower and the doomed aircraft. The controller instructed the pilot to turn to a heading of 290 degrees after takeoff and cleared the pilot to depart. The pilot acknowledged the instruction.

The next instruction from the controller is for the pilot to change frequencies to Philadelphia Departure. The pilot acknowledged the instruction. Within seconds, the controller advises another aircraft they have lost a plane and are closing the airfield.

“I have a lost aircraft. We are not exactly sure what happened,” the controller stated.

UPDATE 8:15 p.m. ET — Fox News reported the aircraft is a Lear Jet 55 registered in Mexico. The aircraft registration shows it being an aircraft used for medical transport.

UPDATE 8:05 p.m. — The aircraft took off from a commercial airport in northeast Philadelphia. The aircraft reportedly climbed to 1,600 feet and then suddenly descended sharply and crashed. It had traveled about three miles before falling out of the sky.

The plane crash occurred near Roosevelt Mall in Philadelphia, according to several reports.

Three homes and multiple vehicles are reported to have been hit and caught on fire, according to NBC10, WDEL.com reported.

Watch 'furious' California residents tackle, detain suspected arsonist: 'Wrong neighborhood, buddy'

Video shows a group of concerned citizens in California chase down, tackle, and detain a man suspected of committing arson, according to multiple reports.

Around 4:32 p.m. on Monday, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Office received reports that a man set a fire in a neighborhood outside of Los Angeles.

Several people were seen on video chasing down the arson suspect in the neighborhood of Chatsworth — roughly 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Taylor told KTTV that the arson suspect was behaving suspiciously.

"It just seemed a little strange that there was a guy there after a brush fire was reported just a quarter-mile up the road," Taylor said. "And he's in the bush doing something."

Taylor continued, "The residents were furious. They've gone through the Woolsey Fire, which started just a mile from there. With all the dry vegetation, they were really concerned about him starting another fire and losing their homes."

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Office said in a statement, "The witnesses pointed to the suspect and told deputies they witnessed him lighting a brush fire near Knapp Ranch Road and Woolsey Canyon Road. The witnesses stated the suspect lit the fire and left the location. The witnesses followed in their vehicle."

Officers with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Office quickly responded to arrest the arson suspect.

While police officers were handcuffing the suspect, a woman is heard on video telling Martinez: "Wrong neighborhood, buddy."

Police identified the suspect as 41-year-old Alejandro Martinez.

Authorities said there was already a warrant out for Martinez’s arrest but did not provide any specifics.

KTTV reported, "When deputies searched Martinez, they found a lighter in his pocket, a small sum of cash, and a car battery jumper kit."

Authorities said there was a fire burning near the location where Martinez was apprehended.

KTLA reported that Martinez is the 27th suspect charged in cases related to the wildfires in Southern California.
