My recurring dream

For years, I had the same dream.

I would be standing in front of a door, very excited about what lay behind it. I would rush and open it. Then I am so overjoyed. I see a bedroom so beautiful. Exactly like the way I would want it. The bed is so big and comfy. There are so many stuffed animals on it. ( I love stuffed animals) the curtains, carpets,..............so beautiful and cozy. There was also a balcony.

I wanted to rush and see what is outside, knowing there would be amazing scenes, however, I noticed another door leading out of the room and I just knew that a room, more beautiful than the one I am in, lies behind that door. I hesitated a bit and ran for the door. I opened it, the room was even more beautiful. I wanted to jump on the lovely couch, jump on the bed and end up between all those stuffed animals. I saw more doors all around me and did not know which one to go through first. I just knew more beautiful stuff lay beyond them.

My heart was so filled with excitement, I would decide on a door, run to it and open it to see more lovely rooms. then I was in hallway with stairs going down and up and more doors.

I would keep running around openings doors, getting more excited and overjoyed all the time.... then eventually I wake up before I manage to open another door.

I think I had this dream recur for years. One day I dozed off on an arm chair, had that dream again and woke up curious (it just hit me how often I had the same dream) and then immediately in my mind I hear:

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
