I know I speak for how thankful we all here are to have a God who never changes, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His plans are for our welfare, never for evil! No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor heart of man imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.... Although it has been a long time coming, we are the blessed generation to see the unfolding of His Word. This is beyond exciting! :prayer-hands: Tammie: I think of this verse all the time, ALL THE TIME!! : "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." (1 Corinthians 2:9, KJV) No matter how much I try to envision how special Heaven is, and how hard I try to dispel the unscriptural vision in my mind about sitting bored on a cloud playing a harp, I come back to this verse to bring me to the reality that I TRULY HAVE NO CLUE how wonderful our Eternity will be -- and that God has promised that we cannot even fathom how happy and exhilarated we will be! Thank you for reminding me of our future Heavenly reality that will put our current earthly reality to shame! :thankyou God bless! :amen: Humbly Lest we forget, Earth and it"s glories is simply a shadow of Heavenly reality! TR TR - much more than a mere shadow. We are given a reference of a visualization... but in our finite brain it remains beyond our grasp as to the magnificence of God! My husband reminded me that it is a cube of sorts, can you think of an evil attempt from the dark prince to mimic Gods beautiful creation that was part of a famous TV series? Ok I’ll tell you :mdrmdr: remember the Borg on Star Track..... Revelation 21:9b-27 “... Come with me! I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 So he took me in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. 12 The city wall was broad and high, with twelve gates guarded by twelve angels. And the names of the twelve tribes of Israel were written on the gates. 13 There were three gates on each side—east, north, south, and west. 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were written the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 The angel who talked to me held in his hand a gold measuring stick to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 When he measured it, he found it was a square, as wide as it was long. In fact, its length and width and height were each 1,400 miles. 17 Then he measured the walls and found them to be 216 feet thick (according to the human standard used by the angel). 18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city was pure gold, as clear as glass. 19 The wall of the city was built on foundation stones inlaid with twelve precious stones: the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were made of pearls—each gate from a single pearl! And the main street was pure gold, as clear as glass. 22 I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light. 25 Its gates will never be closed at the end of day because there is no night there. 26 And all the nations will bring their glory and honor into the city. 27 Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Chapter 22 is just as amazing! Even then our Father protects us from the riff raff of evil while He deals with Israel and in such beauty... I simply can’t visualize gold as perfect and clear! Can’t wait to go home! :prayer-hands: Let us not forget those being left behind. Let our hearts be mournful for those who will suffer the wrath of satan, and Christ! We truly are looking forward towards a glorious future, as we should! But there is coming a day when we won't be able to look back and consider the fate of family, friends, loved one's, or the family of man altogether! Till then, I pray we be mindful that eternity is no respecter of persons. TR
11 It shone with the glory of God and sparkled like a precious stone—like jasper as clear as crystal.
24 The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the world will enter th city in all their glory.
