Tom Hughes posted a great article on his site Hope for tomorrow, it’s here! CU Today – The Federal Reserve is collaborating with seven central banks and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) to hammer out a framework for digital currency. Scary site — https://www.weforum.org so glad we will be gone :prayer-hands: fair and educational use Eek ... I hope China is not going to be in charge of this digital system. What a nightmare that will be. No wonder so many CEO’s have stepped down from the banking industry earlier this year and looks like many more are continuing giving notices now - 2021 ... I read another article they claim it isn’t going to replace the dollar right away but who knows what is really true. One local grocery store posted a sign yesterday ... they really want us to pay with Dollar/coin money vs electronically. So its strange how some businesses are still encouraging Dollar/coins and others are switching to electronic payment only. Did Tom Hughes say the rapture will happen before the big switch happens? Chilling when you think about it. Absolutely chilling. Total dependence on the government who can zero out your bank account if they don’t like your behaviour. They want to get everyone hooked on UBI (Universal Basic Income) after the forgiveness of all debts and the forfeiture of all private property. No freedom at all. What a dystopian future. *Ugh* Glad we’ll miss this. Maybe the stores are encouraging cash transactions so it can ultimately be removed from circulation? Just a thought... Arthur - ha you threw a word out that I was not familiar with and had to go look it up and I would totally agree with you, we are just about there .. Although it is listed as a fiction or state of mind in ones thinking — 5 Characteristics of Dystopian Fiction Yep, this sure sums up the tribulation—- glad we will be gone :prayer-hands: Amy - most stores , I’m in require ONLY the card with a chip - no cash, except maybe the rural outlier of a Mom and Pops joint. All pharmacy, grocery, department stores, and gas stations have actual signs up, NO Cash, card only. At least in my region of 1.8 million that is inclusive of 10 cities and 7 counties that is the norm ... I’m 4 hrs south of DC and along the coast, so it may be very dependent on your location currently. I wonder if other countries such as the Philippines, Columbia, India, etc have gone paper and coin less? Next level comes the implant for banking needs. Gotta go — :prayer-hands: Yep, during the tribulation ... the survivors will quickly get on board with the socialist “Universal Basic Income” utopia program since they lost everything dear to them anyway and the jobs are being out sourced to the A I :dieu: Big climate change indeed ... the unsaved just don’t realize this is thee “climate change” the powers that be had in mind. And classes will be like this  ... if they open up the school buildings once more ... Just read a article that is saying covid virus is alive on cash bills for up to 4 weeks can see people turning in their bills as fast as possible. Afraid touching a bank cash bill will make them sick. I also read the coin shortage had in part to do with the silver or metals they re made of being worth more than their face value. Some older quarters from a certain date the silver content was worth much more than 25 cents. https://bulawayo24.com/index-id-news-sc-national-byo-193210.html The irony these people that fear touching money but they don’t mind touching items on the grocery shelves that some other shopper or stocker has handled and perhaps read the labels and decided they didn’t want after all and put right back on the shelf again. Or how about a newspaper or book from the library - even with curve side service ... there is no way the librarian is going to wipe down every single page inside the book - only the cover. And how about the monthly invoices/bills that come in the mail. Or filling up their gas tanks and touching the fuel pump nozzle ... Today at the grocery store ... this guy sneezed once and you should have seen the fear as people turned around and glared at him. 2 people started walking fast with their shopping carts in another direction to get away ... More irony that is making waves of nonsense.... people will go to Walmart, grocery shopping, department stores, and even back to flying for travel, but not to church or out to vote! The excuse is I might get sick, but you shop .... how is that right?
Government control.
Environmental destruction.
Technological control.
Survival.
Loss of individualism.
I typically use either my card or watch to pay, do carry a very small amount of paper on me and no coins, have not in years, only because I don’t like to carry a purse, just my phone case that has a pocket on it, fits rather nicely in my jacket. Funny thing is, I see more men caring a “man purse” than I do women carrying purses :mdrmdr:
We have a “once thought” to be a strong conservative church that will not open its doors, but meets outside, how is that showing your faith in God? They have multiple spaces that would accommodate the congregation with plenty of sophisticated technology, but they remain, technically “closed”. Very upside down ... I am with Jack Hibbs, pray for an overwhelming number of believers that get out to vote and vote Biblical standards. I totally agree Blake :prayer-hands:
