Their homemade slushes contains … NERDS!!!! Has anybody tried these drinks? Yohanan, I love apple pies and turn overs. My favorite is the French version with custard and a little apricot marmalade below the apples. It's delicious. You should visit the Big Apple sometime. It's in Colborne, Ontario, around 2 hours drive from Toronto. I went there a couple of years ago. The moment I walked it, there was this delicious apple pie smell. It was amazing. They have lots of lovely stuff made with apple. There is also a farm nearby where you can pick apples. An apple and apple pie lovers paradise. Sounds like a much better place than the Big Apple we have in NY ? Nerds! Mmmmmmmmmmm Especially Nerd Rope! :yahoo: the nerd party is growing … B-) Nerd rope? :scratch: I just googled it … is that perchance licorice or taffy covered with NERDS? :whistle: They are telling me I can purchase the rope at Rite-Aid … but there is a slight problem … the Rite-Aid’s in our state folded up switched over to Walgreens and to my knowledge they don’t sell NERDS of any kind. Unless they keep selling out before I enter the store. AND … it looks like the animal kingdom has a sweet tooth … Heidi, you’re going to love these squirrels! This fella keeps stealing chocolate bars from the convenience store. :mdrmdr: And check out this one … he has a box of NERDS!!! :mdrmdr: The NERDS party keeps growing … I wonder if some of the animals in heaven or in the millennium will be munching on candy?! B-) B-) Excellent point! And how about placing some floating marshmallow snowmen in with the beautiful chocolate drinks Or a good way to use the peeps (aka Easter version of the candy corn) … is placing them in the Now I know what these were made for … Or melting down the peeps for colorful Rice Krispies treats … Anybody like to bake and decorate GINGERBREAD cookies? And how about those edible GINGERBREAD houses?! Do you bake your own siding & roof tops? Or buy the already made kits or do you use graham crackers? After all the hard work of decorating do you ever eat the homes or are they only for display purposes? B-) I’ve never made an edible one but I used to enjoy visiting the contests and seeing all the creativity on display. How about GINGERsnap cookies? :whistle: I’m sharing my all-time FAVORITE recipe from an old 1970’s Better Homes & Gardens Homemade Cookies Book Oatmeal Gingersnaps :good: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Stir together first 6 ingredients and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Blend in shortening, molasses, and egg; beat well with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Form into 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar; place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Let stand 1 minute; cool on rack. Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies. (Note: you can avoid “the roll in sugar” step before placing on the greased cookie sheet if you’re concerned about too much sugar - they are sweet enough). Did you know … is December 16th? :whistle: But with the condition that this sad world is in … we might not be here. :yes: So lets celebrate that special day earlier! B-) How about some ….
