Mike asked me to make Old- Fashion Buttermilk Doughnuts so that is what I'll be doing today after I run to the store for buttermilk.

geri- over 9 dollars for ground beef??!!! was it only one pound??!!  i was getting nervous that walmart here had gone up this week to $6.49 a pound....wishing we'd gone ahead and bought the made in china freezer when we had a chance & stocked up on meat...but then again, electricity prob won't be around at some point in the not so distant future...

as far as truck drivers go- my hubby is one and he and many others will not take the shots even if get fired- they are as isolated as you can get most of the time...not to mention American citizens...ridiculous...the whole world has gone nutz

we'd talked about making another walmart run this wkend, but ya gotta draw the line somewhere...tues it already had an almost empty tp aisle- cool thing was the ones left were the kind we prefer!  nice to have been so spoiled that we have such things as tp preferences...ok..i had to erase multiple things i just typed...my humor was headed in the 3 rd grade boy direction...

I only get my ground beef from this one local store because they sell “Certified Angus Beef” and they apply those stickers on the packages so you know ahead of time what you’re getting.  I don’t get sick on their ground beef.  My stomach can’t tolerate the  “pink slime” additive that the other stores are notorious for putting inside their ground beef.  Nor can I eat @ McD’s  :negative:

The package I just bought was 80% lean beef/20% fat hence the price was cheaper  $5.45 x 1.10 lb = $6.00

The others packages were either  90% lean beef/10% fat or 85% lean beef /15% fat (I prefer this ratio because anything leaner the burgers are dried out and not juicy) but the price just jumped up to $8.18 x 1.10 lb = $9.00.

Its best that you don’t stock up on frozen foods unless you have a generator.  From the latest prophecy news update … they plan on having power outages (like what happened to Houston) across the United States … and there will be a shortage of oil fuel for the furnaces.  Its going to be a cold and long winter for the left behind.  Praying we are out of here soon!

Geri, You can get Bimectin paste and use it dermatological - horse, sheep, cattle typically same dose. Fairly inexpensive about 9.00 a tube on line or at tractor supply. Good to have a bit at home among your emergency kit.  Getting the link to the compounding pharmacy was a great help.

i just ordered some random canned meats from walmart- ran out of time when there last time (over 30 minute drive) and only got extra can chicken & a little more tuna- don't like getting cans delivered cuz had can dog food mailed from other places and they were dented, but i do not want to go back in person anytime real soon...we have powdered emerg food and beans & rice and all, just seemed we needed a little more fatty bad canned spam and corned beef type stuff...ugh...hope it's all just for someone (who we do not know yet) that will be saved after rapture thru God's Word- we have plenty of in writing in our house after we are raptured...i do not feel prepared to go from spoiled to no electricity or income or food at store or running water or whatever...but God knows the future and He knows we need Him every step of the way no matter what it holds...i do trust Him...He is same God who multiplied the oil supply and the fishes and loaves...same God that heals, teaches, provides, leads & guides yesterday, today and tomorrow

Don’t forget the jars of peanut butter and jelly on the crackers.  This is my go to staple food when the power goes off.

Yep it won’t be pleasant if the power is out for long periods of time.  I got a radon fan that won’t work and then I would eventually smell the toxic fumes. They claim you can’t smell it but I can and it bothers me.  So my back-up plan would be to pack up what I need and drive over to my brother’s vacation house.  He has a wood burning fireplace so I could at least heat up soups, etc. by the fire and stay warm.  Let’s hope it never gets to that situation. I’m trusting its business as usual when the rapture happens.

We move into our camper tomorrow on our property, while the house is renovated from the walls. So if the power goes out, I can just make a fire in the pit and cook in my lodge pot hanging over the open fire and then go to bed with the setting sun and wake with the chickens :mdrmdr:  A cold shower and who needs electricity anyway :mdrmdr:

Naw that would be a missed item …. Things will be crazy, specially once the rapture occurs, but much of this is just the crazy lies from the media to get people all crazy and scarred. Gives us opportunity to share the peace of God that surpasses all understanding :prayer-hands:
