I'm not looking for feedback, and I'm just sharing this because I felt touched. He appears to be more of a motivational speaker who focuses on ethical necessity (which we are absent of w/o God); What love is he speaking of? — we love because He first Loved us; not because we loved first…. It is not a religion, it is a relationship. Church is not the answers, Christ is. We are mandated to be community, … not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as is the habit of some… He does not mention Christ as the Son of God or God in the flesh and the need for His sacrificial death because of our sin nature. He speaks as if he is on a moral journey, which he will fail at if he does not humble himself before God almighty. He has missed the mark. He does not understand the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that changes you. It is by faith, not morality, not doing good (for apart rom God we are nothing), it is nothing we can rationalize in our finite brain concerning the work of a infinite God, it is nothing we can do and he does not accept the simplicity of the Gospel. My opinion. IMHO, Jordan Peterson is headed in the right direction. He believes in God, first and foremost. However, as Tammie mentioned, he hasn't come to Jesus yet. At least, not as far as I know. Praying for him. What a wonderful testemony that would be! :prayer-hands: That was a lovely compilation of his journey, I have been praying for him. I really feel he is on the verge of becoming born again. He had this to say about the Bible: And so it isn’t that the Bible is true. It’s that the Bible is the precondition for the manifestation of truth, which makes it way more true than just true. It’s a whole different kind of true, and I think this is not only literally the case, factually, I think it can’t be any other way. It’s the only way we can solve the problem of perception. This was the last comment after the interview: :bible "Continue to pray for Peterson, that he sees the truth and that the Holy Spirit saves him. The bible can be understood as the precondition for the manifestation of truth all he wants, but unless he repents of his sins and believes the gospel of Jesus Christ, he will be lost." Yes, I saw that comment and I agree. Ultimately mental ascent does not save. It is putting your trust in Jesus Christ that saves. This reminds me a bit of CS Lewis after he wrestled with God and finally came to the conclusion that He was real and Lewis repented. CS Lewis said he was the most dejected and reluctant convert in all of England. I think Jordan Peterson, who has a brilliant mind, is also wrestling with God. I think he is right now kicking against the goads. I think for the brilliant mind, it truly might take time to unravel and untangle the mind from what "self" has understood and has accomplished your whole lifetime, transferring away from that, toward what is spiritual truth and drawing that comes from the Holy Spirit, Who is wooing him to let go of the knowledge he has, and come in faith to Christ. The Lord is calling him, and I believe he has been touched by Truth. May he let go and let God. With you right there. Rich people and intellectually gifted people have to overcome their inclination to self reliance. They are literally too smart for their own good. We need to stop being self confident and become God confident. For what it's worth, Jordan Peterson's daughter has her own journey of faith. I pray that it is or will become a saving faith. :prayer-hands: https://www.christianpost.com/news/i-found-god-jordan-petersons-daughter-mikhaila.html
