The Hamas terrorist organization on Thursday released the remains of four Israeli hostages it murdered following the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel. The bodies handed over in a ghoulish Gaza ceremony were said to be of Shiri Bibas and her two children, Ariel and Kfir, as well as Oded Lifshitz, who was 83 when he was snatched. The remains were in black coffins and as a final insult, the caskets were locked and presented without a key — offered only after they were paraded before a delirious crowd across the streets of Gaza, according to the NY Post. On Thursday night Israel's Transportation Authority halted all public transport including the operation of all buses, trains, and light rails, following an attempted terror attack in the Tel Aviv suburbs of Bat Yam and Holon. Three empty buses exploded had exploded in quick succession in parking lots in these areas, and police believe the detonations were actually intended to happen in the morning, when the buses are usually packed. No injuries have been reported, but police said at least two other unexploded devices were discovered on nearby parked buses. A search for suspects and evidence as to who is behind the attacks is underway. Tel Aviv District police chief Haim Sargarof was cited in local media as saying the bomb plot "looks like something [that originated] in the West Bank." Further details presented in Israeli media said: According to a Channel 12 news report,the devices were slated to explode on Friday, when the buses were in use, but were somehow set off early. The network also reported that one of the undetonated devices was found due to an alert of a passenger who notified the driver of a suspicious bag. In a statement, the Bat Yam Municipality said that “miraculously, the buses arrived at the parking lots a moment before the explosion,” and were already empty of their passengers. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Thursday that the two Bibas children — Ariel, 5, and Kfir, 2 — whose corpses were handed over by Hamas were “brutally murdered,” not killed by an Israeli airstrike, as the terror group claimed. In a gruesome ceremony, Hamas placed four coffins on a stage in front of a mural depicting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a vampire, and claiming that he and his “Nazi army killed them with missiles from Zionist warplanes.” According to the assessment of professional officials, based on the intelligence available to us and forensic findings from the identification process, Ariel and Kfir Bibas were brutally murdered by terrorists in captivity in November 2023. During the identification process, it was determined that the additional body received is not that of Shiri Bibas, and no match was found for any other hostage. This is an anonymous, unidentified body. This is a violation of utmost severity by the Hamas terrorist organization, which is obligated under the agreement to return four deceased hostages. Egypt Update Iran Update In mid-January, concerned over possible blowback by Trump’s administration, China made the decision to ban all sanctioned oil tankers from using their ports. This includes Iran’s exports. Just like that, half of China oil imports from Iran were halted. The only oil now coming in from Iran is through small, independent Chinese refineries. At the same time, according to the New York Times, Iran’s energy crisis has hit a “dire” point. Schools, government offices, and industries have been forced to shorten hours, close for days at a time, or shut down altogether for lack of power. The ayatollahs can make their threats, but it is the power grid that may determine the fate of the country. U.S.-Russia Update Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, along with National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and Special Representative Steve Witkoff, are in Saudi Arabia meeting with representatives of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s government trying to find a solution that will end the war. Zelenskyy is furious that his nation is being left out of the peace talks, possibly because any agreement would appear to include a demand for elections in Ukraine – a vote that he would have a low chance of winning due to his unpopularity in his own country. The eyes of the world are on this summit. Many believe that the talks between Russia and the United States, and eventually between the two national leaders, may lead to a new restructuring of the world order. Why The Current UN Agenda For Israel And Jerusalem Is Prophetically Significant: Unlike any other time in the church age, we see a multitude of signs telling us that the Tribulation period is rapidly approaching. However, like pieces to a jigsaw puzzle scattered about on a tabletop, we don’t yet fully recognize how they will all fit together to complete the biblical picture of the end times for Israel. In one grouping of pieces, we see the world’s obsession with Israel and Jerusalem, precisely as the prophet Zechariah predicted for the last days (12:1-3). The purpose of the upcoming UN Conference on Palestine’ set for June 2-4, is to set in motion a two-state solution to resolve the Middle East conflict. The member nations hope to impose their seven or ten-year peace accord upon Israel during the UN’s celebration of its 80th birthday this coming September. The UN initiative also calls for an immediate ceasefire of all hostilities in the region, with Israel giving up all the territory it acquired in the Six-Day War of 1967, including East Jerusalem.... The Antichrist Will Confirm the Covenant Furthermore, the Bible tells us that the antichrist will confirm the upcoming peace covenant with Israel, which initiates Daniel’s seventieth week, the seven-year Tribulation for the world. Daniel 9:27 mentions the “many,” which suggests the inclusion of other nations in the deal. However, they are not the ones who will impose the prophetic peace accord upon Israel such as the UN intends to do later this year. The two prominent participants in the biblical peace accord will be the antichrist and Israel. In Isaiah 28:14-22, the Lord admonishes Israel for entering into a future “covenant of death,” which is almost certainly a prophecy concerning the accord the nation will make with the antichrist. ...In other words, Israel will agree to the deal that kicks off Daniel’s last week; it’s not something the nations will impose upon Israel apart from the consent of its leaders. The Hidden Piece The missing piece to all that we see happening with the UN, Israel, and Jerusalem is the Rapture. It’s the key piece that enables the completion of the puzzle.... The radically changed landscape of the post-Rapture world will also give the antichrist the perfect opening to convince a war-weary Israel to agree to his covenant of peace. This war has not just been against Gaza. The day after the October 7 attack, Lebanon jumped into the fray by firing salvo after salvo of rockets into Israel. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) focused on the south until they felt they had a good grip on Gaza. Then they directed their attack toward Hezbollah. It’s possible that the terrorists could have given a decent fight, but then the beepers went off and Hezbollah’s world quite literally exploded. Walkie-talkie-gate came immediately after, and the terrorists knew they were all but beaten. So many of their soldiers were damaged, but so were their missile capabilities. The Israeli Air Force pounded a battered Hezbollah destroying thousands upon thousands of missiles, along with tons of weapons, ammunition, and other war materiel. That was what led to the ceasefire.
As I mentioned above, four murdered hostages were returned today [Thursday], and six living hostages are set to come home on Saturday. This will complete the exchanges for Phase 1 of the agreement. Unfortunately, Phase 2 cannot be implemented until Hamas is gone from Gaza. Currently, Israel is preparing a package deal for Gazans – we’ll give you money, a ticket, and we’ll make sure you leave. The question is where they will go to. The Egyptians are panicking because they don’t want them. The Jordanians are panicking for the same reason. They know that the Palestinians historically are a significant, and often deadly, problem wherever they go. This puts us at a stalemate. President Trump has frozen budgets for Palestinian security forces. Someone or something has got to give. These days ahead will be interesting to watch.
We have a big problem with Egypt. When the Camp David Accords were signed back in 1978, three zones were created in the Sinai. Zone A, farthest from Israel’s border, allowed four Egyptian infantry battalions. Zone B was limited to lightly armed civilian police, not to exceed 7500. Zone C, nearest Israel, could only include a maximum of 200 civilian police. That was then; this is now.
There are hundreds of Egyptian tanks along Israel’s border. But that’s the least troubling example of what is there. Tunnel warfare is practiced in the desert near Israel. Also, exercises in the “safety zones” include motorized gliders from which soldiers can parachute, exactly as Hamas did on October 7! Is there any question where the terrorists’ training came from? Egypt has always kept Hamas as a buffer against Israel, but what are we to infer from the massive military buildup? Is Egypt preparing an invasion?
There is a big question mark over Tehran right now. Is Iran nuclear capable or not? Recently, in a cryptic message, Ayatollah Khamenei said, “Today, our defensive power is well known, our enemies are afraid of this. This is very important for our country.” What is it that has given the Supreme Leader this confidence? Or is he just blowing more smoke? President Trump thinks that Iran is afraid, and he very well may be right. But their fears are likely more than just military in nature.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy could be in trouble right about now. Western media made the man a rockstar. He was on talk shows, he met with world leaders, he was showered with awards. But most people who really knew the truth about the man recognized that there was a lot more hype than substance with him. Now, in a scathing post, President Trump has called Zelenskyy out as a dictator, quite possibly a thief, and a terrible leader whose incompetence has led to many thousands of his people being killed. A year ago, few people would have agreed with Trump’s words. However, with the on-going war and the eyes of many finally being opened to the way Zelenskyy played Biden (and other leaders) “like a fiddle” (using Trump’s words), the bloom is rapidly falling off the rose.
The Rapture will also remove the US as a key obstacle to the UN plan. The ensuing chaos will instantly remove America as a world power and greatly limit its ability to defend Israel. I believe that the Gog/Magog invasion will happen after the Rapture as the participants take advantage of a greatly weakened US.
