Report: Hezbollah Drone Targets Netanyahu’s House; No Injuries:

A Hezbollah drone that evaded Israeli air defenses managed to strike near, or at, the private home of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu early Saturday, though he was not physically present, and there were no reported injuries.

Axios reported that Netanyahu’s private residence in the coastal town of Caesaria was actually hit. The Times of Israel reported that it was “targeted” but did not confirm that the home was actually impacted by the drone strike.

...Netanyahu and his wife were not there at the time.

If successful, the drone attack would have had a significant effect on the war. Israel can be expected to respond — and not necessarily just in Lebanon: the apparent attempt on Netanyahu’s life could mean Iran’s leaders are fair game.

@patrician “The apparent attempt on Netanyahu’s life could mean Iran’s leaders are fair game” the article says. Well it’s about time after all of these decades of carnage.

Full-Dress Kohen Sighted on Temple Mount:

The Temple Institute announced a remarkable development that brought Israel one step closer to the Third Temple. For the first time since the Temple stood in Jerusalem 2,000 years ago, a kohen (male descendant of Biblical Aaron the High Priest) ascended to the Temple Mount wearing the Biblically mandated Kohanic garments. While on the mount, the Kohen joined in a prayer quorum and gave the priestly blessing to those gathered.

The Temple Institute prepared the garments in preparation for the return of the Temple service.

This impressive feat was accomplished despite the numerous extra-legal restrictions placed on Jews at the site.  There is no law preventing Jews from praying on the Temple Mount, and the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Jewish prayer several times. Jews do pray at the site in inconspicuous manners and out of sight from the Arabs, but the police frequently prevent this from happening. On Tuesday, Jews prayed freely in minyanim (quorums of ten).

On the first day of Rosh Hashanah, a group of Jews smuggled shofarot (ritual rams’ horns) onto the Temple Mount and, despite police efforts to stop them, blew all of the requisite shofar blasts for the holiday. Jews have recently begun performing the commandment of prostrating themselves on the stones of the Temple. In June, a Jewish man wore tefillin (phylacteries) at the site.

In August, the Biden State Department issued a statement condemning Jewish prayer at the site.

About Amir Tsarfati:

Dear all, I went to Amir's Behold Israel Page, but only his photo was there and it said,"View in Telegram."  My husband insists that he doesn't want me to download Telegram.  He says it's Russian disinformation.  He told me that Amir is on X, so I signed up for that, but the info was sparce and mostly outdated.

So, I looked on Instagram which was almost all videos.  Facebook was the same as X.  But, I did find out his father passed away.  Maybe later he will reappear on the usual Behold Israel site?

So, anyway, no news from Amir today.

@patrician Something has changed.  I read Amir's telegram as Preview Channel, or Open in Telegram Desktop.  I don't believe I ever downloaded anything.  If I did it was by mistake.  I don't recall now exactly how I got there.  I have the link saved to my bottom tray so all I have to do is click and it brings up Amir's telegram page.  I clicked on it to see if I could help you get there that way too, and guess what, it doesn't work anymore.  I got notices wanting me to log in or download or scan a QR code or something.  Nope.  I'm not tekkie enough to do all that and wouldn't even if I could.

@terry

Yes, me too.  I never downloaded anything.  But, the Jewish people sit shiva after a death.

From Google: "Sitting shiva" is a Jewish mourning ritual that involves a week-long period of sitting together to grieve, reflect, and heal after the burial of a loved one."

I had a Jewish friend who sat shiva after her husband passed but it was only for two days.

That may be why Amir is not communicating now.

Senior Pentagon Employee Named as Leaker of Israeli Retaliatory Strike Plans to Iran – Was Previously Outed as Iran Spy But Was Kept on Anyway:

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) confirmed on Sunday that the U.S. government is now investigating the unauthorized release of these documents, which are believed to have originated from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency.

Now, a senior Pentagon official has been identified as the primary suspect in a classified leak involving the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) plan to strike Iran.

The American official under suspicion has been named as Ariane Tabatabai, an Iranian-American scholar of political science who currently serves as a senior policy advisor at the Pentagon.  Tablet Magazine accused Tabatabai of being an Iranian agent.

The JewishPress.com reported:

A Pentagon official told Sky News in Arabic that the investigation being conducted by intelligence agencies in Washington into the leaking to Tehran documents of the IDF plan to strike Iran has begun to indicate “suspicion” of the involvement of a senior employee in the Pentagon.

The American official added that the employee suspected of leaking the documents is an American of Iranian origin named Ariane Tabatabai.

Ariane Tabatabai is an Iranian-American scholar of political science, writer, and senior policy advisor to the United States Department of Defense. After the Biden administration took office in January 2021, she joined the US negotiating team in nuclear negotiations with Iran. Between 2021 and 2022, she served as an advisor to Robert Malley, the chief promoter of pushing a deal with Iran at any cost.

Members of the US Congress, especially Republicans, have pointed out that Robert Malley was investigated after being suspected of having dealt with classified information without prior permission and of having secret contacts with Iranian figures.

Kash Patel: Robert Malley, Biden’s number one envoy, the guy that’s supposed to be keeping us out of war in Iran had his clearance, security clearance suspended by Chris Wray’s FBI, of all people, just two months ago! You got to ask why? They won’t publicly release it. Well, let me tell you why. Because an individual named Ariane Tabatabai, who, by the way, is currently running our special operations office at the department of Defense, was installed there by Robert Malley? Yes, the former presidential envoy to Iran installed this Iranian national to that position in DoD. – And do you know what she did in 2014? She emailed the Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif, and asked for permission as a US. Citizen to take a trip on behalf of the US. Government. This individual is still employed at the Department of Defense as the assistant chief of staff for the special operations office. The Iranian regime has infiltrated the Biden administration.

In September of 2023, four members of the U.S. Senate sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austing calling for the suspension of Tabatabai’s security clearance.

Amir’s Weekly Newsletter snippets:

The Middle East

Assassination Attempt on Netanyahu
The nation of Israel survived a bit of a close call this past week. A UAV was fired by Hezbollah forces toward the home of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara. Thankfully, the couple were not at home at the time, and the attack caused no injuries. The PM responded by calling the attempted assassination a “grave mistake” and warned on X that “This will not deter me or the State of Israel from continuing our just war against our enemies in order to secure our future.” While the attack was carried out by Hezbollah, there is credible evidence that Iran was behind it. Thus, no one should be surprised that the Islamic regime quickly tried to cover its failure with bravado saying that there would be major destruction to Israel if Netanyahu’s people came after Supreme Leader Khamenei.

Lebanon
It has been a very rough week for Lebanon. For lack of a better phrase, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) is bombing the heck out of Hezbollah. The Dahieh neighborhood of Beirut in particular has been the recipient of the IAF’s focus due to the area’s locations for weapons manufacturing and storage. The fact that it is also home to some of Hezbollah’s primary headquarters makes it an even juicier target.

Hezbollah has ...shot anti-tank rockets and mortar shells at the Israelis. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has put a strong effort into seeing that this activity ceases.

Gaza
Let me start here with a brief reminder that Yahya Sinwar is dead, killed by a sniper’s bullet. The pictures were not pretty, but they were definitive. When he was finally dispatched last Thursday, he was panicked, helpless, and alone.

The fight still rages in Gaza. The IDF is determined to clear the terrorists out of the northern part of the region. But because Hamas entrenches itself with the population, it is essential to get everyone out of the area and move them down to the humanitarian zone near Khan Yunis.

It will also finally allow Israel to retake the effort to get humanitarian aid to those who need it. Once the populace doesn’t depend upon Hamas for aid distribution, the terrorists won’t be needed anymore.

Israeli Security Breach
Speaking of people working undercover, Israeli intelligence arrested seven people for spying for Iran. Originally from Azerbaijan, the group received cryptocurrency from Tehran for photographing and gathering information on key military sites all over Israel. They carried out their espionage for two years and are reported to have completed 600 missions. This is one of the most serious security breaches in Israel in recent years.

United States Security Breach
And, while we’re on the subject of espionage, it seems that the Defense Department in Washington sprung its own leak. Ariane Tabatabai, chief of staff of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and a U.S. naval intelligence officer, leaked classified documents about Israel to Iran. However, that’s just what we know about for sure right now. This woman had access to all naval movements and all special forces operations in the world, including the Middle East. Who knows what she might have passed on? What’s so aggravating is that there was credible information that she was spying back in October 2023, and not only did the Biden administration choose not to pursue it, but she was able to keep her security clearance. Unbelievable!

More from the U.S.
United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken made another visit to Israel Tuesday. His message? Don’t attack Iran, stop the war in Gaza, and send more food to Hamas. Okay, he said to send food to the Gazan citizens, but everyone knows who actually gets the humanitarian aid.

I know there have been struggles for some of you who like to monitor my Telegram channel from outside of the app. Let me assure you, this is a Telegram issue and there is nothing we can do about it.

[Yes, this came to my personal email.]

Senate Republicans threaten UN funding if global body sidelines Israel:

Sen. Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and 27 other Republican senators introduced legislation on Tuesday that would cut off U.S. funding to the United Nations and its subsidiary agencies if they downgrade Israel’s status.

“Reports indicate that the Palestinian Authority will attempt to downgrade Israel’s status at the United Nations” following a U.N. General Assembly vote in May, the 28 senators wrote. That vote saw Palestinians gain new rights within their existing non-member “permanent observer” status, which is short of full U.N. membership.

“A move to downgrade Israel’s status at the United Nations would be a new low, even for an organization that is as rife with antisemites as the United Nations,” stated Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.).

“Unfortunately, antisemitism has pervaded the United Nations for decades and discredits the U.N. mission,” stated Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska). “It must end.”
