Released hostage: The terrorists asked my father for ransom:

Moran Stella Yanai, who was released in the November 2023 prisoner swap, spoke with Channel 12 News about her experiences as a hostage in Gaza.

During her time in captivity, the Hamas terrorists holding her demanded that her father pay a ransom - or they would murder his daughter.

"The moment I returned, after the hugs and kisses, I think that this was the third question that I asked. I turned to my father and I said to him, 'Dad, was money offered for me?' And he answered, 'Yes,'" she told Channel 12.

"It was during the day, some time in the afternoon, and I and two other female hostages were sitting in a room....  One of the captors came to me and started asking me questions about my father."  She continued, "He asked, 'Does your father love you?' and I answered him, 'Of course, more than anything.' He told me, 'And what would he give for you?' I asked him what he meant, and he continued, 'Machari, machari (money). How much money would he give for you?'"

When Moran was released, after 54 days of captivity, she began to understand: At the same time that her captors spoke about her father and clarified the family's financial abilities, her father received phone calls and messages in Hebrew, and especially in terrible English, from an anonymous phone number from the area of Khan Yunis."

"He was shocked the moment he heard such a thing," Moran described. "He received a photo of his daughter (not one that was taken in captivity) and they told him that if he did not pay money within an hour, they would begin to kill us one by one.... My parents went through trauma no less than I did."

She added that her father was willing to pay any sum in the world, but at some point, the person speaking to him hung up, and no money was transferred.  "This is exactly part of the mind games that they play with us," she stressed.

At one point, Moran's captors demanded that she convert to Islam.  "As a woman, my greatest fear was that I would be sold. That someone would marry me off by force and I would have to be a Muslim."

Unprecedented surge in aliyah: 29,000 Jews immigrate to Israel amid Gaza war and global antisemitism:

Over 29,000 new immigrants have arrived in Israel since the Oct. 7 Hamas invasion and massacre, according to a recent report from the World Zionist Organization (WZO) in Tel Aviv.

The surge in aliyah (immigration to Israel), despite Israel's war against the Hamas terror organization in Gaza in the south and the conflict with Hezbollah terror attacks in the north, comes amid rising antisemitism worldwide.

The report indicated a 355% increase in immigration from France alone, with over 5,500 files opened since the war began last October, compared to just 1,200 during the same period in 2023.

In the United States, the number of open immigration files rose by 62%, totaling over 6,000 people.

Canada also experienced an 87% increase, with over 800 Jews initiating a move to Israel.

Yaakov Hagoel, chairman of the World Zionist Organization...noted that global antisemitism has caused Jews to feel unsafe everywhere. Today, in many countries around the world, it is hard to be a Jew, whether at school, at work, or at prayer,” he said.

"The war we face is not just a battle for Israel's security but for the survival and future of the Jewish people. The strong response we are witnessing through this wave of aliyah is a powerful affirmation of our collective resolve to stand with Israel, now more than ever."

Hagoel vowed: "We will make sure that Jews everywhere feel safe, supported, and encouraged to make aliyah.

The Lord says Jews shouldn’t live anywhere but in Israel.

What an amazing few days it has been in Israel. The IDF rescued the first living hostage from Hamas’s underground tunnels in Gaza. And wouldn’t you know it? He was an Arab Muslim.

Egypt is reportedly sending 10,000 troops to Somalia. Things could escalate quickly in the Horn of Africa.
.....
Ethiopia is transporting long convoys of armored personnel carriers (APCs) and various other combat vehicles into Somalia's Bakool, Bay, and Gedo regions. These deployments are being carried out as a preemptive measure to counteract and respond to Egypt's increasing presence in Somalia.
This movement signals a significant escalation in military preparedness, indicating Ethiopia's concern over regional stability and its strategic interests in the Horn of Africa.
.....
Italy has reportedly delivered four combat helicopters to Somalia, marking the largest single shipment of military equipment to the country since the arms embargo was lifted. The Bell 412EPX helicopters, each valued at $16 million, are expected to bolster Muqdishu administration defenses.
.....
To understand why Egypt sent soldiers to Somalia clearly, we need to consider the longstanding tensions between Egypt and Ethiopia.

Egypt and Ethiopia have been at odds since ~2011, when Addis Ababa began building a vast hydro dam on the headwaters of the Nile River. Egypt had claimed that this dam is a threat to its water supply as it disturbs water flow.

For Egypt, the Nile is the source of nearly all of its fresh water. It especially needs it for agriculture. The Nile is also used to fill Lake Nasser, the reservoir for Egypt's own hydro-electric power plant, the Aswan High Dam.

Multiple rounds of negotiations have tried to resolve this issue, including a U.S.-brokered effort in 2019, but with little success.
.....
The IDF just exposed Hamas for manipulating public opinion surveys by the Palestinian polling institute (PSR) to fake support for its leaders, especially after the October 7 massacre.

The documents, found during operations in Gaza, show how Hamas altered PSR's March 2024 results to falsely boost Yahya Sinwar's popularity.

There's no evidence PSR was involved—Hamas did this on its own. This just proves how far Hamas is willing to go to keep up the appearance of strength.

Why don't universities in the West teach their students about Arab-Islamic Colonialism?
*Bloody conquests and wars were waged
*Hostages were taken as slaves
*Sharia law was imposed on non-Muslims
*Arabic was enforced
Most Muslim schools teach all this with pride.

The CIA suppressed intelligence during the Obama administration that indicated “Iran's nuclear weapons program” was more advanced than believed, The Washington Times cited a report by former NSA counterintelligence official John Schindler, who says the information was withheld to protect the 2015 nuclear deal negotiations.

Schindler revealed that over a decade ago, a pro-US intelligence service recruited a defector within Iran’s Revolutionary Guards who had obtained critical secrets about the nuclear program. He detailed how 12 years ago at a security conference in Europe the IRGC mole handed him top-secret documents containing "technical information" on Iran’s centrifuge program. The documents showed that "Iran is further along with their nuclear weapons program than the US Intelligence Community officially assesses, and the Obama administration publicly claims."

The world owes Trump and Netanyahu an apology!

Amir Tsarfati's email newsletter:

The Battle in Gaza
The fight continues in Gaza. The enemy is deeply entrenched and there are miles and miles of tunnels. As Israel simultaneously fights above ground and below ground, the soldiers must be incredibly careful. First, there are thousands of vulnerable citizens being used as human shields. But secondly, there are still 103 hostages being held, although 33 of them have been confirmed dead. According to a report by the Jewish Chronicle, Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip and the terrorist organization’s newly minted chairman of the Political Bureau, Yahya Sinwar, surrounds himself with 22 handcuffed hostages. Apparently, Israel has had several chances to eliminate him, but they held back due to the hostage risk.

U.S. Warns of Iranian Threat Against Israel
We’ve all been wondering when Iran’s retaliation will come against Israel for the targeted killing of chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. The ayatollahs have been holding it over the Jewish state’s head for weeks. Now, John Kirby, national security spokesman for the White House, has said that it could come soon, and warned Iran to reconsider carrying their plan out. “Our messaging to Iran is consistent, has been and will stay consistent,” he said. “One, don’t do it. There’s no reason to escalate this. There’s no reason to potentially start some sort of all-out regional war. And number two, we are going to be prepared to defend Israel if it comes to that.”

Ukraine vs. Russia
Ukraine continues its push into Russia, using drones to reach deep into the enemy nation. Yesterday, they attacked the Ryazan hydroelectric plant approximately 200 km from Moscow. Russia is fighting back in a huge way. On Monday, the Russians launched 127 missiles and 109 attack drones aimed at Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. At least four people were killed, and in Kyiv there were seven or more explosions reported. One missile hit the road over the Kyiv hydroelectric plant. If that plant took major damage, it could mean severe flooding in and around Kyiv.

France Arrests Telegram’s Pavel Durov
In an action that illustrates the continued deterioration of free speech in Europe, Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov was arrested Saturday by French police in Paris. The charges against him are that his social media platform is being used for illicit activity including drug trafficking and child porn. The move by French authorities set off a firestorm of protest by free speech advocates, while opponents of free speech thought “Phew, I’m glad it was the French who did it.” On Wednesday, he was released from his temporary hold, but that doesn’t mean that all his problems are over. He was immediately sent for questioning, while it is being decided whether to put him under indictment. If he is formally charged, he can end up going right back into detention. It will be interesting to see if Russia, St. Kitts and Nevis, or the United Arab Emirates, all of whose citizenships he holds along with his French citizenship, steps up to put pressure for his release.

Amir Tsarfati, August 31:

The Bible, for me, is far more than just a book about our past. It’s the only book of any faith in the world where nearly 30% of its content describes future events. The accuracy, reliability, and authenticity of this book regarding past events give me great confidence in speaking about the future ones!

Egypt pours 10,000 soldiers into Somalia.
The Egyptian force is sent as part of the African Union's mission to stabilize Somalia.
Of course, this is not due to philanthropy, but in the background there is a conflict over the dam and Ethiopia's agreement with Somaliland that may lead to its recognition, therefore there are voices of war…

On the other hand, Ethiopia threatens Egypt and says welcome to a war that will be painful for Egypt and a cemetery for the conquerors...

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀? The poor Iranians.. Groaning under the burden of the crumbling regime, are choking on air pollution, melting from the heat because there is no electricity, thirsty for water that doesn't flow from the taps, and living on the banks of rivers polluted with sewage, while cursing the regime destroying their lives and country.

Iran's mullah regime, including senior Revolutionary Guard officials, constantly threatens Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S., bragging about their supposed regional power..
However, the reality is vastly different.

While Iranian leaders boast of power and threaten the world, their country is falling apart. Residential buildings collapse, accidents increase, and factories shut down. Iranians, deprived of reliable electricity and water and breath polluted air, live by toxic rivers. Their anger grows as they watch the regime focus on external threats, ignoring the domestic crises ruining their lives.

I am calling upon the CEOs of American Airlines, Delta, and United to end the unilateral + indefinite suspensions of air travel to Israel. The operative words here are ‘unilateral’ and ‘indefinite.’
Air travel suspensions should have time limits and FAA approval. Instead of following the FAA, the three airlines have been acting on their own to suspend flights to Israel. These suspensions are so indefinite as to be indistinguishable from a boycott.

Five Doves, KS Rajan:

There is no such thing as a Palestinian people – believe it! - By Joseph Farah

No "Palestinian" people? I was converted to believe it by the late Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir as she made a bold political statement for which she was pilloried. That's what happens sometimes when someone speaks the truth in the face of shameless lies. What she said was this: "There is no such thing as a Palestinian people."

Muslim propagandists ever since have ridiculed and derided her comment. They charged her with "racism." They accused her of historical revisionism. They accused her of being out of touch with reality and of being in denial.

But Meir was absolutely right. And others who agree are just as correct.  In fact, she's hardly the only person to make such a claim. In moments of candor, many Muslim and Arab leaders have admitted she was right – that there is no distinct Palestinian cultural or national identity.

Way back on March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here's what he said: "The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian people' to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."

In fact, on the same day Arafat signed the Declaration of Principles on the White House lawn in 1993, he explained his actions on Jordanian TV. Here's what he said: "Since we cannot defeat Israel in war, we do this in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish a sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel."

In the history of the world, Palestine has never existed as a nation. The region known as Palestine was ruled alternately by Rome, by Islamic and Christian crusaders, by the Ottoman Empire and, briefly, by the British after World War I. The British agreed to restore at least part of the land to the Jewish people as their ancestral homeland. It was never ruled by Arabs as a separate nation.

Why now has it become such a critical priority?  The answer is because of a massive deception campaign and relentless terrorism over 40 years.

Israel and the West must not surrender to terrorism by granting the killers just what they want – a public relations triumph and a strategic victory. It's not too late to say no to terrorism. It's not too late to say no to another Arab terror state. It's not too late to tell the truth about Palestine.

And the truth is that only 40 years ago, there was very little confusion on this issue of Palestine.

Once forbidden, sight of Jews prostrating on Temple Mount now routine:

Although open prayer, including prostration, was not permitted for Jewish visitors of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem for decades for fear of offending the local Arab population, it is now described as routine.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who has always supported open Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount, prostrated at the Temple Mount and encouraged others to do the same to commemorate the 9th of Av (this year, August 13th), a day of mourning for the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem.

As National Security Minister, Ben Gvir has told the police not to enforce former rules that would have required them to escort away Jews who prostrated on the Temple Mount or engaged in open prayer.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sought to downplay the increased open Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount by insisting “the status quo has not changed.”

The development does not surprise some activists, who have noted that open yet discreet prayer has been permitted at the Temple Mount since 2018 when Gilad Erdan was police minister.

However, visitors have gone beyond more “discreet” forms of worship and are seen prostrating on the Temple Mount and singing, dancing, and praying out loud.

Rabbi Yitzhak Brand, a long-time pro-prayer activist, unusual since most ultra-orthodox Jews oppose prayer at the Temple Mount, told worshippers, “We must give thanks to God that we have now merited greater closeness to God. Prostration is already a special form of worship on the Temple Mount and the site of the Temple, and this is another stage in the redemption.”

Speaking on Army Radio, Ben Gvir said, “The policies on the Temple Mount allow prayer, period. You are allowed to pray; preventing you from praying is illegal.”
