Hezbollah
I wish I could say that things were starting to slow down, but that would be a lie. Aside from the day-to-day attacks from Hezbollah and the Israeli airstrikes in response, Northern Israel’s hospitals are preparing for the looming war with our enemy. We continue to intercept explosive projectiles on a daily basis. War is not a matter of if, but when. In the meantime, Israeli officials have voiced that part of the reason we’ve delayed entering a war is to build up our munitions supply – offensive and defensive. I don’t mean this arrogantly, but Hezbollah is going to be sorry by the time this is done. Hezbollah and Lebanon are bracing for impact. In fact, Lebanese sources reported that Amos Hochstein delivered an Israeli message to the Lebanese government according to which: If Hezbollah does not retreat north beyond the Litani River by 6/24, Israel will start a war in Lebanon.

In his speech just a couple of days ago, Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah communicated that: 1) The party that should be in fear now is the enemy, not us. 2) Hezbollah will continue its operations in support of Gaza and is prepared for all scenarios. 3) We possess a significant amount of information. The drone footage published yesterday is just a small part of many hours filmed in Haifa. 4) We know that Israelis are conducting drills in Cyprus and its airports, which they plan to use if their own airports or facilities are struck. 5) We warn Cyprus against opening its facilities to Israel. If it does, we will consider it part of the war. 6) All the weapons meant for Lebanon have already arrived. 7) These weapons will be revealed when necessary, and we have new weapons to introduce. 8) We produce some of the rockets we need. 9) We have a large number of drones because we manufacture them. 10) Hezbollah has a comprehensive and accurate target bank inside Israel and the capability to reach these targets. 11) The enemy must be prepared for us on land, air, and sea, and we will fight without constraints or limitations. 12) The Israeli enemy knows that what awaits it in the Mediterranean Sea is substantial. 13) This threat may also include the US.

The IDF is expected to have full control of Rafah in the next couple of weeks.

We need to bring the light of the gospel and the hope of salvation to people! We need to live lives that reflect our faith. We need to make smart choices based on our strong convictions regarding family, sexual identity, the sanctity of life, and supporting Israel. If we say that as believers, we can’t or shouldn’t be involved in politics, it’s equal to running away from responsibility. This is especially true if that decision causes us not to vote! Remember: We are all watchmen! We’re aware of things on a spiritual level as well as the physical. The Lord said the following about the role of the watchman:

Ezekiel 33:3-6
“When he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.”

Awaiting His Return,
Amir Tsarfati

Shipwreck found off Israeli coast the earliest ever discovered:

The most ancient ship ever found in the deep sea has been discovered off Israel’s northern coast, shedding light on trade more than three millennia ago and revealing the existence of advanced navigation skills in that era, the Israel Antiquities Authority announced on Thursday.

The 3,300-year-old ship’s cargo, including hundreds of intact amphorae [jars with handles], was located 55 miles from shore at a depth of just over 1 mile, the state-run archaeological body said.

The dramatic find was uncovered during a standard seafloor survey last year by a leading natural gas company.  Sample vessels from the cargo were positively identified as coming from the Late Bronze Age Canaanite period, according to the IAA.

“The ship seems to have sunk in crisis, either due to a storm or to an attempted piracy attack—a well-known occurrence in the Late Bronze Age,” said Jacob Sharvit, head of the IAA Marine Unit.

He called the find “a world-class, history-changing discovery.”

“This find reveals to us, as never before, the ancient mariners’ navigational skills—capable of traversing the Mediterranean Sea without a line of sight to any coast,” he said. “To navigate they probably used the celestial bodies, by taking sightings and angles of the sun and star positions.”

Only two other shipwrecks with cargo are known from the Late Bronze Age in the Mediterranean Sea, and both were found relatively near the shore, according to the IAA.

Based on the earlier finds, the academic assumption until now was that trade at that period was executed by safely moving from port to port, keeping the coastline within view.

“About a year ago, during a survey, we saw the unusual sight…what seemed to be a large pile of jugs heaped on the seafloor…

The jugs were the most efficient means of transporting relatively cheap and mass-produced products such as oil, wine and other agricultural products such as fruit, said Sharvit.

The finds from the ancient ship will be displayed to the public in Jerusalem.

As few as 50 hostages still alive in Gaza:

American and Israeli intelligence believe that there may be as few as 50 hostages still left alive out of the 116 still being held in captivity in the Gaza Strip, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

The daily cited “mediators in the hostage talks and a U.S. official familiar with the latest U.S. intelligence” as its sources.

Officially, on the Israeli side the IDF and Prime Minister’s Office declined to comment, and on the American end the Office of the Director of National Intelligence kept mum as well when asked for a response.

So far, Jerusalem has declared that 41 of the hostages in the hands of Hamas and other terrorist organizations are dead.

Amir Tsarfati:

Hamas has become accustomed to starting a war, negotiating a ceasefire, begging Gulf countries and the West for money for reconstruction, and then using most of that money to build tunnels and prepare for the next round. Meanwhile, their leaders get richer. The other Palestinians are just useful pawns.
That which was shall be no more!

SHOCKING THEFT: Iran Hijacks $300M Worth of Airbus Jets from Lithuania
Iran has taken control of two Airbus A340 passenger planes, each valued at $150 million, from Lithuania. These planes, leased by a Gambian company, switched off their transponders and landed in Iran while en route to Sri Lanka and the Philippines. Mahan Air, an Iranian airline, is now operating the stolen aircraft. This incident follows previous actions by Iran to evade U.S. sanctions by acquiring planes illicitly.

Ultra-Orthodox parties signal readiness for compromise over IDF draft law, according to Hebrew media report:

The ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) leadership appears ready to compromise and isn’t looking to bring down the government over the IDF draft law controversy, Likud party officials told the Israeli newspaper Maariv on Sunday.

Israel’s High Court is expected to issue a ruling in the coming days regarding petitions to halt the stipends being paid to ultra-Orthodox men who are studying in yeshivas (religious schools) in the framework of the exemptions from the IDF draft, which are about to expire.

If the court decides to halt the stipends and force the government to enlist Haredi men as per the law, the ultra-Orthodox parties in the Knesset have threatened to leave the coalition, thus bringing down the government.

The government is currently advancing a new law to regulate the conscription of Haredi men into the IDF under heavy pressure from the High Court and the attorney general.

According to the report in Maariv, the ultra-Orthodox leadership, made up of senior rabbis who decide matters of policy as opposed to leading politicians, has reportedly realized that compromise is preferable.

“If the law that will be passed will talk about the recruitment of ultra-Orthodox youth who are not studying [in a yeshiva], even if the recruitment targets are more than 3,000, the ultra-Orthodox will live with it,” Likud sources, who spoke to officials in the United Torah Judaism party, told Maariv.

“According to internal estimates in the community, today there are at least 3,000 young people per year who do not study in yeshiva and the ultra-Orthodox have no ideological problem in recruiting them.”

“This is, of course, on the condition that the IDF establishes unique frameworks that are compatible with the ultra-Orthodox lifestyle for the young men who will be recruited,” the sources added.

“The ultra-Orthodox have no interest in overthrowing the government, whoever claims that is unable to explain why the alternatives are better for us,” a Haredi leader told Maariv.

“If a respectable amount can be raised in the United States for the yeshivas to cover the gap that will be created after the state funding is stopped, we probably will not be in a hurry to overthrow the government, we will hold on as long as possible,” he added.

Hamas attempts to rehabilitate itself in Gaza, recruits teenage boys to fill ranks:

The Hamas terrorist organization has been attempting to replenish the ranks of terrorists eliminated by Israel during the Gaza War, Army Radio correspondent Doron Kadosh stated recently.

According to Kadosh, Hamas has appealed to 16- through 18-year-olds to enlist in its forces and, in recent days, security forces have identified attempts to train and equip these newly recruited terrorists.

Hamas is reportedly trying to recruit fighters to replace around 14,000 terrorists that Israel has eliminated in the war so far, and many thousands more who have been wounded in the fighting, as well as around 4,000 who have been captured since the war began.

While any youth joining the terror group is likely aware of the high number of casualties among Hamas operatives, the massive destruction of the Gaza Strip, and the near-total collapse of the economy, means there are few other options for young men to earn money for their families.

Amir Tsarfati:

Southern Lebanon has hundreds of kms of tunnels developed for over 30 years. It’s called "the land of tunnels." They are vastly different than Hamas tunnels.
We have a lot of work to do there!
.....
We knew UNRWA officials were complicit in the massacres, rape and abductions of Oct 7.
Now, it turns out Hamas also skimmed $1bn from them too.
That’s YOUR aid dollars at work!
The suit says that in Gaza, unlike other places the agency operates, UNRWA pays its 13,000 local employees in U.S. dollars that must be changed into shekels, the Israeli currency that is used in Gaza, by Hamas-affiliated money-changers who take a cut for the organization.
.....
An official in Iran's Supreme National Security Council told the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida that Tehran warned the US against a war in Lebanon and made it clear that it would be completely different from the one in Gaza. The official said that during talks held by the US and Iran in recent days, the latter made it clear that if Israel will decide to start an all-out war against Hezbollah - the axis of resistance will enter the campaign with strength and it will provide all its capabilities to its allies who will attack Israel from "different directions".
He also added that the Islamic Republic warned the US against supporting any attack in Lebanon, because this would mean that American forces and interests in the region would be a "legitimate target".
.....
Gazan woman on X "When I talk to my friend from the South, she tells me there is so much aid that when they are contacted to come and receive it, they refuse, because they have so much. We in the North, on the other hand, can't find food."
As I've said before, if they were really starving in the North, they'd move South. The difference is that in the South, besides aid there is plenty of affordable fresh food from private import, so they are less interested in the canned food they get from UN aid agencies.
