Iran Fires Ballistic Missiles at Israel After Beirut Airstrikes as Regional Tensions Escalate:

Iran launched a ballistic missile attack targeting northern Israel following Israeli airstrikes in Beirut. The attack prompted widespread security measures across Israel, including the cancellation of classes nationwide, as officials prepared for the possibility of additional strikes.

So far, missile alerts have sounded hundreds of times across Israel as Iran has launched at least five separate rounds of missile fire. Approximately six waves of ballistic missiles from Iran have been detected.

The latest escalation began after Israel carried out airstrikes against targets in southern Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold. Israeli officials said the strikes were conducted in response to recent Hezbollah attacks against northern Israel, including missile launches that threatened Israeli civilians.

While diplomatic efforts continue, the security situation on the ground continues to deteriorate. The renewed violence threatens to derail ongoing discussions between Washington and Tehran and raises fresh concerns about the possibility of a prolonged regional war involving Iran, Hezbollah, Israel, and potentially other actors throughout the Middle East.

This is a developing story.

Report: Netanyahu Called Off Major Iran Strike After Trump Warned Israel Was ‘On Its Own’

President Donald Trump personally intervened Monday to stop Israel from carrying out a significantly larger military operation against Iran after warning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu further escalation could leave Israel confronting Tehran without American backing, multiple U.S. and Israeli media report.

Trump... sought to prevent the confrontation from expanding into a broader regional conflict.

According to Axios, Trump first spoke with Netanyahu on Sunday night after Iran launched missiles at Israel and pressed the Israeli premier to avoid a wider military response. Trump reportedly maintained that diplomacy could still succeed within days and that broader military action risked disrupting ongoing negotiations.

Netanyahu countered that failing to respond would signal weakness and allow Iran to impose a new deterrence framework linking Israeli operations against Hezbollah with direct Iranian retaliation.

Following consultations with senior military and security officials, Netanyahu authorized Israeli strikes overnight and again Monday morning targeting Iranian air-defense systems, missile-related infrastructure, and facilities linked to Tehran’s military capabilities.

Trump said he warned Netanyahu that expanding the conflict risked leaving Israel without American support if the confrontation spiraled into a broader regional war.

“I said, ‘Bibi, you better be careful, or you will be on your own very soon,'” Trump told Axios.

In a video statement Monday evening, Netanyahu confirmed Israel was holding its fire against Iran while warning that any renewed attack would trigger a forceful response.

It’s time to say it: Gaza’s population must go:

The expulsion of Gaza’s population is not a war crime waiting to happen. It is the only serious, honest, permanent solution to a problem that October 7 made impossible to ignore, and that another October 7 will make impossible to forgive.

Gaza has told the world exactly what it is. Its schools teach children that Jews are subhuman. It’s television programs, such as “Pioneers of Tomorrow,” aimed at preschoolers, that instruct toddlers to stab and shoot Jews, and promise them that an Islamic caliphate will one day rule the earth. Its founding charter calls for the extermination of every Jew. It also calls Gazans “the Great Ones” (Master Race), and thus differs little from the Hitler Youth...  On October 7, 2023, it acted on all of it: torture, slaughter, kidnapping, and then street celebrations with candy while Jewish families burned. And then Gaza promised to do it again.

When Hamas slaughters Jews for being Jewish, that’s a hate crime. When Israel removes a population that has repeatedly proven it cannot live alongside Jews without murdering them, that is reasonable, necessary, and lawful self-preservation.

Relocation — with free transportation, financial assistance, and one-way passage to any of the countries that have spent two years loudly proclaiming their love for the Palestinian cause. Spain has recognized a Palestinian state. Ireland, Norway, Belgium, Turkey, and Australia also seem to like the Palestinians. That is exactly where Israel should send them.

Polls taken after the massacre showed majority support among Gazans for what was done. The mothers who cheer their sons’ “martyrdom” on camera are not a fringe. The father caught on film goading his young boy to throw rocks at Israeli soldiers — hoping one would shoot his child and produce a propaganda image — is not an aberration. Gaza has spent a generation turning child-raising into an ideology, and that ideology is murder.

To truly fix this would require what Germany required after 1945: tearing out every institution, rewriting every curriculum, and in some cases separating children from the adults poisoning them. The world would never allow Israel to attempt it. This is precisely why relocation is not an extreme option. It’s the moderate one, and the only one available.

Gaza’s population must go, peacefully, with assistance, but permanently, somewhere that is not next to the Jewish state or the United States. That’s not a controversial conclusion. It’s just an honest one.
