The "leaders" of our country are so totally clueless. They live in a fog.

IDF approves new Jewish community in Judea:

The Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday gave its approval for the establishment of a new Jewish community in Judea, Mishmar Yehuda, located near Kedar in northeastern Gush Etzion.

OC IDF Central Command Maj. Gen. Yehuda Fox signed the paperwork setting the boundaries of the town on Tuesday night.

“This is an enormous gift for the residents of Gush Etzion,” said Gush Etzion Regional Council head Shlomo Ne’eman, who also heads the Yesha Council, the umbrella group for Judea and Samaria localities.

“We will continue onwards and strengthen Gush Etzion with more residents, more schools, more roads and more kindergartens. Together we will triumph,” added the Yesha Council head.

“We will continue the momentum of settlement throughout the country; congratulations to Gush Etzion, congratulations to the settlement and congratulations to the State of Israel,” Smotrich said in a statement.

The Jewish population in Judea and Samaria grew by almost 15,000 people last year, according to a report released earlier this month.

As of Jan. 1, 517,407 Jews lived in the area, which Israel liberated during the 1967 Six-Day War, up from 502,991 on the same date in 2023. Last year’s growth amounts to a 2.87% increase.

The Jewish population in Judea and Samaria has grown 15.11% since 2019.

Hamas leader Sinwar reportedly satisfied with course of war, confident civilian deaths will force stop:

Despite Israel’s steady progress over four months of fighting in the Gaza Strip, the leader of the terror organization Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, is still confident that his group will win the war, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

When senior members of Hamas leadership based outside of the Strip met in Qatar last month, a message arrived from the leader of Hamas in Gaza, according to WSJ.

The fighters of the al-Qassam brigades, Hamas’ military arm, are doing just fine and we're prepared to face Israel’s expected ground offensive into the southern Gaza city of Rafah, the message read.

Sinwar was also confident that the mounting civilian casualties resulting from the war would eventually lead to international pressure to the extent that Israel would be forced to stop the war.

His strategy appears to be having Hamas operatives weather the storm in their underground hideouts until Israel is globally pushed into a ceasefire, a scenario that has consistently unfolded in the past.

Such a plan would allow Sinwar and the remaining Hamas leadership to then heroically emerge from the destruction to declare victory over Israel.

What lunacy. Let's see if I've got this straight. The IDF destroys almost all of Hamas but because a few rats crawl out of the sewer at the end it means they defeated Israel? Wacko

8,000 Israelis are suing the US State Department: "Permanently stop UNRA funding"
The Israeli organization Shurat Hadin petitioned the High Court in Washington on behalf of thousands of families of victims of terrorism from October 7 to stop UNRWA funding. According to the organization, in the last year, the USA transferred 422 million dollars to UNRWA: "in complete contradiction to the American anti-terrorism law."

According to the president of Shurat Hadin, attorney Nitsana Darshan-Leitner: "UNRWA is Hamas and Hamas is UNRWA. But the American administration insists on burying its head in the sand while American and Israeli blood is being spilled. What is required right now is not a 'temporary suspension' of funding, but a complete and immediate shutdown of UNRWA, just like any other murderous terrorist organization should be dismantled.'

Rare First Temple clay seal unearthed in Jerusalem:

A rare and exciting archaeological find has been unearthed in Jerusalem, providing an extraordinary glimpse into the ancient past.

During excavations carried out by the Israel Antiquities Authority in the Western Wall Plaza a few years ago, a small stamped clay seal was discovered dating back to the First Temple period around 2,700 years ago.

The clay seal contains ancient Hebrew writing indicating it belonged to the “Governor of the City” of Jerusalem, the highest municipal position during that time.

“This is the first time such a sealing has been found in proper archaeological excavations,” said Dr. Shlomit Weksler-Bdolah, the lead excavator. “It supports the biblical record of there being a governor of Jerusalem during the First Temple period.”

Experts say the seal, which depicts two figures facing each other below the inscription, was likely attached to an important letter or document. “It may have served as a logo or dispatch sent on behalf of the governor,” explained Weksler-Bdolah.

The area where it was found near the Western Wall is believed to have been inhabited by high-ranking officials based on this seal and other artifacts found previously.

Five Doves (last week) Nansings "The Sin The Jews Committed - October 7th"

Interestingly enough, those who chose to attend services at their synagogue on October 7th went unharmed, whereas those who attended the Nova party instead suffered a terrible tragedy.  The reason claimed below (in bold font) is interesting.

"The sin in the Land has opened spiritual gates for this present disaster to come upon our land and people.  The divisions and enmity within the nation and its leadership, the hatred without cause, the shedding of innocent blood through abortions, the advocacy of immorality and sexual perversion, the idolatry and pride and the great sin of rejecting the sovereignty of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob over this land and its people---have all worked to remove God's covering of blessing and a great measure of His protection from upon us.  The Nova party, at which our youth were dancing around a large statue of Shiva, was reminiscent of the sin of the Golden Calf and a clear warning of its consequences.  We do mourn with all those who have suffered and lost their loved ones at this event."  -- [email protected] | National Day of Repentance
.....

[I had not heard this before so looked for another source.  I found this article; here is a short clip.]
‘Israel has sinned’:

Messianic congregations in Israel have been called to three days of fasting and prayer, focusing on repentance among themselves as well as the nation.

“The Nova party (among the scenes of the October 7th attack) at which our youth were dancing around a large statue of Shiva was reminiscent of the sin of the Golden Calf and a clear warning of its consequences – though we do mourn with all those who have suffered and lost their loved ones at this event.”

Shiva is one of the principal deities of Hinduism, known as the Destroyer within the Hindu ‘trinity’ which also includes Brahma and Vishnu.

This is the first mention of that huge statue that was so prevalent in the mobile phone video footage of the carnage at the Nova festival on October 7 (that I've seen). When I saw it in those clips it reminded me of the Biblical accounts of the kings of Israel and Judah who "did evil in the sight of the LORD" by allowing the people to worship foreign gods.

Also the fact that the renowned Israeli intelligence services were 'caught by surprise' made no sense to me at the time, and I knew there was more to this than meets the eye.

Months later, people are starting to put two and two together, and various theories are emerging; the trade corridor theory being one -- which sounds a little tenuous to me. I could be wrong, but I think there is still more information that we don't know yet.

However, we know from the Bible that the tribulation will be particularly hard for the people of Israel and they will suffer massive losses. It's my opinion that evil is everywhere and I can't really see any politician coming out of this smelling like roses. The enemy has fully infiltrated all politics and religion and culture and morality and our only true hope is the Lord Jesus.
