Instead of yearning, they are yawning, is that what is happening in the church today? When Jesus returns will He find faith and peace among us?  This site is to remind us Jesus is coming back, are we preparing everyday for His return, what does that mean to you? I believe one way to be ready is be at peace anywhere your at right now, you know God is in control of everything, so why would we worry at all. So don't let this time of waiting make you yawn, make it a time of showing others how much you love Jesus by living for Him with JOY.  Think about it, we are going to be scooped up from this world to protect us from the horrors that will afflict those "left behind" in this world. Doesn't that open your eyes to stay awake and watch, like Jesus asked His disciples to stay awake and pray with Him.  Be ready, the times are changing so fast, He could come anytime. Love all of you, I know everyone on this site are yearning for His Return! Come Lord Jesus! :yahoo:

Indeed, much of the Church is spiritually asleep.  Even Jesus wonders when He returns, if He will find any with faith?!

I imagine that after two thousand years of the gospel being preached it has worn old with some.  But when the gospel is mixed with religion rather than relationship, it does understandably goes stale!

Religion is big business, while relationship takes commitment and effort.  Our pride also keeps us from following our creator God!  We would rather lead ourselves with no accountability!

Lastly, there are those who have chosen deception rather than truth.

Like the children of Israel who would rather follow an earthly king, than the king of kings!

Though people can find a million and one reasons to deny Christ, because He is the Christ is the only reason anyone needs to say yes to Him!

In the end, we shall all be held accountable for the choices we make.  We can either accept God's free gift, or not!   All IMHO!

Well said TR, thank you for sharing, sometimes the days become long, but when we have each other to remind us, we are still waiting for our King, it makes it a little shorter. I know it's not long now, when I watch the Congress and all their fighting, I can see God is up to something with America now.  I think God is ashamed of what we have become, we were for Him, now we've turned out backs and letting in demons even more. It's like a cleaned house and no peace in it anymore, but a family fighting all the time. We need to pray the lost people turn to Him soon, they don't realize we are the answer they are looking for, but most Christians are just siding with the fights. Lord come soon!

My siblings are saved but only my sister is also a watcher and longs for the Lord to return.  One brother is a pre-tribber but he is more excited about his vacation trip next week.  He claims the A.I. stuff is not advanced enough and doesn’t think the rapture is soon.  His church doesn’t preach on the rapture so I can see how he is falling into the sleep category.   My other brother lives in California and he says he attends a few churches each week.  Sunday, Wed and Thurs. but sadly he switched from pre-trib to post-trib view.  I also have a cousin that is saved but is not interested in end times prophecy at all and her husband is an Assistant Pastor and their church doesn’t teach about a rapture.  There is dead silence when I speak about updates with her.  Then she switches the conversation back to earthly things.

I look at it this way ... I think there are going to be a lot of Christians that will be missing the “Crown of Righteous” reward because they don’t long for Jesus to return.  Got to wonder at the Judgement Seat ... if those lost Crowns will be sitting on some table for them to see?  I think they will have regret that they missed out on the easiest Crown to win.

I don't think as we live in this world, we fully understand what is being prepared for us, it's such a mystery that Jesus would love us so much that He's willing to coming back for us to share in this paradise. Let's sing a little louder and maybe God will hear our praises and come sooner to save us from this wilderness were in now. I can't wait, but God says, Wait & Watch, so I will.

Regarding instead of yearning, they are yawning:  I have a Christian friend who recently ran out of resources and is trying to hold down 4 jobs without owning a car; she has to take public transportation everywhere.  I know I read in the Bible that it is supposed to be a comfort to remind fellow Christians that the rapture is coming, so I mentioned this to her.  In return she called me an escapist; because evidently that's what her church believes about watchers. :groan   I believe that watching all the signs that are happening everywhere all the time and anticipating the soon coming rapture is being a realist.

:thankyou

That's exactly what the Bible says we are doing!  Escaping the wrath to come.  Escapism or not who in their right mind wouldn't want to live in a place where there is no more sickness, pain, heartache and death???

I would then wear that title of "escapist" as a badge of honor and regard it as a testament of my intelligence!  Tell her thank you.

PS:  Don't tell Houdini that being an escape artist was a bad thing! Or anyone who escaped the Holocaust, or cancer!

It makes you wonder what goes on in the mind of believers who call us "escapists". Clearly, they have NO concept of the Glory of Christ and living in His presence. They are too mixed in with this world. If wanting to live in the presence of Jesus labels me an "escapist" then, as TR said, I will wear it as a badge of honor!

Indeed.  It truly shows how much we can love this world and the things therein, rather than to be in the eternal presence of our creator God!

Absence should make the heart grow fonder, not colder!  But I'll trust the Lord to sort out ministrations of men's hearts!  Not in my pay grade. 😉

A heart tested and tried is a heart that can choose what it shall love.
