Unfortunately Kias and Hyundais are the popular vehicles to get stolen. Their anti theft system is lousy. Some insurance companies like State Farm’s refuses to insure the owner. I’m sorry this happened to your mom. I’m glad she wasn’t hurt in the process. Thanks everyone. We didn't hear or see anything. We have a camera in the back but it caught nothing. Only a second of the car leaving. I didn't have any bad feelings about before it happened or after. I think God was protecting us. Because if my mom saw the guy, she would have confronted him, and she could have been shot. So thank God we are all okay. We were in the house. Oh I'm so sorry Yohanan! Yes a huge violation, but we just have to say to ourselves that it's just a car, we are okay. People just don't steal from us, they steal from God too, and that is very sad. They say getting a steering lock bar and the kind that wraps around the brake pedal will discourage car thefts … hopefully the keys aren’t all universal. I would invest in 2 different ones - one they can clearly see and the other that wraps around the brake pedal. Perhaps have a locksmith change the cylinder lock so the keys are totally different from the manufacturers for peace of mind? You posted what I was thinking and didn't say Geri. :good:
