Is their job completed at the mid-point of the tribulation (just like the 2 witnesses) or at the very end? I have a friend who believes its the entire 7 years but I’m leaning towards their ministry ends at the 3 1/2 point. Based on Rev. 14:1-5 ... it looks like they are seen in heaven ... so is Rev 14 at the mid-point or at the end? Where is Mount Sion on earth or in heaven? “And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.” —————— Rev 14:6-7 Then it looks like the job assignment to preach to the world is handed over to an angel. “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” ———— Is Babylon’s destruction at the mid-point or at the end? Rev. 14:8 “And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Then it looks like another angel is assigned the job duties to warn the unsaved not to accept the mark of the beast (this surely hast to be the mid-point, right?).... Rev 14:9 “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,” And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:14 The "end" being referenced is the mid-point of the 7 years, right at the time of the Jews fleeing into the wilderness. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. 15So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination of desolation,’ described by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand), 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Matthew 24:14-16 It doesn't seem as if their message extends beyond that time, but that's just my opinion. This might be helpful: http://christopherscottblog.com/lamb-144000-mt-zion-rev-14-1-5/ The main thing I get from this is that it might not necessarily be in chronological order here. Much of Revelation is, but not everything. Well said. TR
