How does the Lord stir your spirit?!  How and what does the Lord speak to you!?

Seems to me that how the Lord stirs your spirit is unique to every individual.  It's a private love language between you and the Lord.

Obviously one of God's ways of communicating with me is through words.  He communicates or speaks to me in various ways.  Carefully choosing words, phrases. ideas  and He impresses my spirit through expression!

Expressions to bare and reveal my soul.  Expression of worship and praise.  Expressions of love.  And expressions to lead, guide, instruct and teach!

What does your private love language with Lord look or sound like?

Various Bible verses.  I also have a devotional book by Charles Spurgeon called “Beside Still Waters” ... wow, every page will touch a person’s heart and leave them crying (joyful tears).  Christian music stirs me as well.

Often the Lord expresses His love for me by bringing something into my view.  I truly love dogs and often He leads me to drive down streets where I will see dogs being walked.  It’s a little thing but so real to me.

He also brings to mind after that fact why He put me in a certain circumstances or brought someone across my path.  For instance, I can look back at why He put me in a job, sometimes years later.

This has greatly increased my trust in the Lord.

I have memorized 616 verses to date of His Holy Word, I was working toward 1000 before the rapture but I’m ok to miss that number :good:

anyway - the Father speaks mostly to me through His Word. I will sit and talk with him, pouring out my thoughts and burdens and He gives me peace through His Word as verse after verse comes tumbling into my mind.

I also love to listen to the music by the Getty’s as they sing scripture and I am totally overwhelmed in my Spirit when I have my own personal worship session with God’s Word through music.

When I go camping, the beauty of His creation speaks to the quiet of my soul. Being with my grandchildren humbles me before God for the responsibility of being right before God so they see Jesus in me as a living reality.

Oh...absolutely Christian music... Not all Christian music brings me into His presence.  But, oh...when it is anointed ...I just melt and adore Him and bask in His presence.  I really believe some of the songs we love so much may even be sung in heaven.  (Sure wish I could ask my husband about that!)  And, like Tammie I enjoy the scripture set to music.  Anyone remember David Ingall's singing scripture in the 80's or 90's?

I agree with you Glorybound.  Anything that's anointed is glorious, especially music.  But praise comes in many forms!

I remember a story of someone who was passing a breying donkey.  It was making a ruckus.  When they asked the Lord what was going on, the Lord informed them that the donkey was praising God!

Haha, that's funny, MyWhiteStone!!!  Thanks for posting David Ingles.  I hadn't even thought about looking him up on the computer!

Yes, TenderReed...all creatures praising God and even the rocks groaning for him to come!  I just keep telling myself, "It can't be much longer...it can't be much longer...it can't be much longer!"   Can it???  :groan

My White Stone — that’s the kind of music my pastor hubby loves. I, on the other hand, am so blessed by the Getty’s
