Gave teaching in lunch room at work today.  Young brother asked question and went from there!

As complex as God is His heart is simple!

Desires relationship!  No relationship no Heaven!  No relationship with God, Hell will accommodate!

Six people there, all quiet!

But message was loud and clear!

Also God is spirit, no man has seen.  So God "put meat on the bone" and became Christ!

He is the Son of God, as all men are sons!

Love God, love the Son!

Great job in sharing your faith on lunch break! :good:

I just said a prayer for those 6 individuals in attendance.

Although I can at times write with the greatest of articulation, complex theological constructs often need to be broken down in the simplest of terms!

Not everyone speaks "christianese"!

Example:  the trinity is a hard concept even for many Christians!

I have explained it in these terms.

My parents called me son, my wife calls me honey, my children call me dad! Yet still I am but one man.

The different titles speak of differing roles in relationships.  Just as God has many names and titles!

Yet scholars would be hardpressed to argue with or better define the trinity!

Just as like the teaching given at work today covers the incarnation of Christ and God's desire for relationship!

Both revealing God's heart towards man!

The Trinity is a complex subject for sure.  I try to make it simple by using an egg.  It has the outer shell, the yolk and whites ... 3 parts but its still 1 egg.

Great job tenderreed -- it takes a lot of courage to speak the Word in the workplace. And along with what Geri provide, another way to provide an analogy to the complexity of the Trinity is with Space and H2O:

Space = Heighth, Width, Length

H2O = Ice, Water, Vapor

We can't understand God's ways, but we truly respect that HE IS RIGHT no matter what!

Keep on keeping on!

Indeed many analogies are possible, but mine puts it into the arena of personhood!

One God in three persons!

Time is short!  Here am I, use my voice Lord.

I always count on the HS to enhance whatever I speak!

Got fired from my last job for speaking of Godly matters!

I use the banana and apple a lot, especially when I’m working with children. See, all the education on this earth can not compare to the magnificent simplicity of creation. The banana divides evenly into three segments, but must exist as a whole; the apple (many fruits) have a skin covering, flesh (fruit), and seeds.

Even when I discuss God among my colleagues, many times I will bring up how uniquely and precisely we are created. See even our electrolytes are made with very narrow perimeters and if they get out of order, our bodies can get into trouble. Take Sodium (NA) a normal range in the blood is 135-145 and if it drops below, the brain (shrinks for a simple explanation - not really, but you get the idea) and a person gets a little wack-a-doodle! If the NA level goes above 145 — the brain swells (best way to explain it) with too much NA and same thing you get wacky. Gods design is so perfectly fine tuned to work in precise measures, yet we work so hard to destroy the body.

We are only 0.01% difference in our DNA strand from most of the plant and animal kingdom .... it is just amazing! And then when you look in a microscope at that part of creation, Wow! One of my favorite in microbiology (a few decades ago) was Aspergillis— beautiful in the purple reagent, it looks like a filigree tree, but in the human lung it is deadly.
Look at the development of the baby, wow, only God! How can anyone doubt His creation.

Keep sharing when given the opportunity ... Your job is only to move them closer to Jesus, God will do His part. :yahoo: :prayer-hands:
