Famous Christians who passed away

Singer B.J. Thomas just passed away from lung cancer.  I fondly remember this #1 hit “Raindrops keep fallin' on my head” and whenever the neighborhood kids had a singing contest … I ALWAYS picked this song. :whistle:

Someone mentioned he got saved!  His bio says “Earlier in his life he became dependent on drugs and alcohol, which led to his marriage nearly ending. On January 28, 1976, Thomas became a Christian, less than a month after Gloria (his wife) did. Most press sources indicated that Thomas had been sober since he and Gloria reconciled in 1976.”

Someone posted … “I remember him singing Christian songs and hearing his testimony way back in the 1980s.

Another brother-in-Christ, Gavin MacLeod, who played Captain Stubing on The Love Boat TV show, has also gone on to be with the Lord.”

Well I don’t expect B.J. Thomas to sing “Rain Drops keep falling on my head” in heaven since it will ALWAYS be sunny. B-)  But in the millennium period … I think there will be rain. :whistle:

I also liked Gavin MacLeod from The Love Boat.  I used to hear him and his wife on the Christian radio back in the late 1990’s advertising/promoting financing the Russian Jews so they can make Aliyah to Israel.

I wonder if there will be cruise ship rides in the Millennium?  Perhaps he will be the captain of one of the cruise lines and B.J. Thomas will be singing on board? :mdrmdr:
