When what has been familiar to man is replaced by the unfamiliar of spiritual realms via death or rapture!  The issue of trusting God then comes to the forefront!  Trusting God for an eternal future becomes paramount!  Then again, trust is essential for a personal and intimate relationship!  Sadly missing in many marriages!  Choosing Christ as the truth, the way, and the life is a completely overwhelming endeavor!  TR

TR - It is funny you post this as I was just contemplating eternity today — what will it be like? As we have very little in scripture to give us a framework of understanding, this is a great challenge for our finite brains to understand an infinite God and His glorious preparations for the bride.

We are so use to structures made of stone, wood, or other materials that we live in. Many of us have daily routines that vary little from the day to day. What about those members of the church who live in a quiet life, how will they do with the multitude surrounding them? Many live with evil and hostility surrounding them, that will be gone. For at least 7 years, we will not work (at least I can’t find that until the millennium).

Our bodies will be like His glorious body — when you look at the miracles he did — made the blind see (he changed, at the cellular level, their vision; the same with the dead he brought to life, healed broken bodies by again changing their brokenness at the cellular level — changing organs, all the way to the mitochondria — so amazing, will this happen to us as we fly up - awesome to think about….

We are so used to eating things of this earth — our heavenly meal is a total guess — I know we have joked about it often over the years, but it is a banquet of mystery - exciting for sure. In Revelation the river of life, bright as crystal and on either side the tree of life with it’s twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month (as a gardener, that is not possible here on earth, so terribly exciting to see, pulse what 12 fruits?)

We are used to walking, getting in motorized vehicles to go places or fly in airplanes —- Jesus was a dimensional traveler after his resurrection — now that is mind blowing in itself —-

Ok I could go on with my ramblings, but it is so much greater than we can comprehend and yet so exciting to know and trust the Father for all that He has prepared for His children… get ready to fly! :yahoo:

I know, every day I find myself wondering things like: Will we take showers in heaven?  Will we need to tidy up our houses?  Will there be computers?  Will we need haircuts?  Will we read books?  Are there phones there?  I certainly hope we don't need to download apps if we have cell phones and set up passwords.  And I hope there are not the many useless e-mails we get now.  I think those things will not exist.

Definitely no medical problems.  Almost everything I do I wonder, will this exist in heaven?

For some reason I think we will pass through one another and then truly know all about that person.  I think we will be able to communicate without speaking.  Where I am getting those ideas is beyond me.   :stinkerbell: I guess we will find out sooner than we can imagine.

Then God "said" let there be light...God "called" the light day and the darkness night...Then God said let there be firmament...Then God called the dry land Earth...Then God said let the earth bring forth the living creatures...Then God said, let Us make man in Our image, according to our likeness...

Praise the Lord from the heavens!...
Praise Him all His angels; ... ps 148

I believe there will be endless speaking, praising and worshipping in heaven.

Some of us really like to talk :rose: :mdrmdr:

Patricia, I'm thinking of the fruit of the Spirit, so there will be love, joy peace patience  kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self-control  in heaven. :amen:

Cooking cleaning and computers, apps , cell phones and making up hundreds of passwords would not give me peace - so I don't think they'll be there!! :mdrmdr:   :yahoo: :mdrmdr:

But what do I know!!

I'm imagining beautiful gardens, gardening, huge verandas for lot's of fellowshipping with saints and Jesus, beautiful scenery, lot's of worshipping, rest peace, and amazing creativity without all the tech-y stuff! :amen:
