A recap of what I wrote few years ago.

[ Ezekiel's 430 years prophecy

Ezekiel 4:5 For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. 6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.

From prophet Ezekiel,we learn that God has numbered the iniquity of Israel and Judah for 430 years. The question is, in Israel and Judah history, when did God begin to see their iniquity? Did it begin from king David when he became king in 1010 BC? Or is it from the time he committed adultery? But we all learn that God sees David as a righteous person and has already forgiven his sin.

So,did it begin with Solomon?

Solomon became king in 970 BC.In his fourth year 966 BC,he began to build God's temple (1 Kings 6:1). The construction lasted 7 years (1 Kings 6:38). It was in year 959 BC that the temple was complete. Then he began to build his palaces. The construction lasted 13 years and in year 946 BC his palaces were complete ( 1 Kings 7:1). And God had these to say to him;

1 Kings 9:1 And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do, 2 That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon. 3 And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: 5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: 7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: 8 And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house? 9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

Did Solomon obey God,and not followed other gods? The answer is no.

1 Kings 11:1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; 2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. 3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.

In the year Solomon completed the construction of his palaces,God appeared to him,and forth warned him not to follow other gods. But because he loved strange women more than he loved God,his heart was turned away by them, and followed their gods.

The year 946 BC is very significant. This is the year God appeared to Solomon and gave forth His warning. God could foresee what those palaces would do for Solomon, which is used by Solomon to house his 700 wives, princesses, and 300 concubines. They shall turn his heart away and lead him to follow other gods. The iniquity of Israel and Judah began in year 946 BC.

And God's word never fails. Since then,Solomon kingdom were divided into two. The northern kingdom Israel lasted until 720 BC,while Judah survived until 586 BC,and faced her extinction in that year, with temple being utterly destroyed. Since 586 BC,they have lost their sovereignty status as a nation. Even though they came back to their land in 539 BC,they were under the rule of gentiles nations.

From 946 BC to 586 BC,360 years have gone by. That leaves a 70 years of their iniquity waiting to be fulfilled ( 430 years minus 360 years ).

Miraculously,Israel came back as a sovereign nation in 1948. But since they haven't come to recognize Jesus as their Messiah, the iniquity clock began to tick again. Adding 70 years to 1948,we shall come to 2018. In 2018, the 430 years iniquity of Israel and Judah shall come to it's fullest. God's patience shall run out with His people Israel,by ushering in the 7 years tribulation,to purge them,to refine them, in order to bring them to Jesus. ]

A correction I would like to make. Israel was at war between 1948 and 1949. It was in 1949 after the armistice treaty that the settlement truly began and they enjoyed as a peaceful nation. The remaining 70 years iniquity of Israel should begin in 1949, and ends in 2019 instead of 2018.

The 70 years may have already been fulfilled in the Babylonian captivity.  The year 1948 seems to be marked as a very significant year.  Nevertheless, a 70 year final generation also appears to be quite plausible.  We shall see how it all plays out.

Why start the count in 946 BC, when Ezekiel's prophecy was given hundreds of years later? Wouldn't it make more sense for the prophesied punishment to have begun when Israel went into captivity for 70 years, leaving the remaining time to be fulfilled?  That would be 360 (* 7).  If I understand, you're saying Ezekiel is prophesying about something already accomplished (360 years) and leaving out the then current 70 years when the nation was being punished by being in captivity.

David, God was speaking the 430 years iniquity of Israel and Judah. There was no judgment and punishment upon Israel and Judah during their 430 years iniquity. God has patience with them during these 430 years. Jack Kelley has made a mistake by applying the 70 years Babylonian captivity / judgment to these 430 years iniquity. He thinks God has put aside 430 years of "judgment" upon Israel and Judah. But instead, God was speaking their 430 years of "iniquity" , not judgment while they were a sovereign nation.

Also, God appeared to Ezekiel in the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity which was 593 BC, 7 years before the destruction of the first temple in 586 BC. They had been 353 years in iniquity ( from 946 BC to 593 BC ). God gave them 7 years head ups / warning before their destruction in 586 BC. God has been fair to them.

When God has numbered their iniquity for 430 years, my illustration has demonstrated 360 years has gone by, which leaves a 70 years iniquity to be fulfilled. So far I haven't seen or read a more plausible illustration than mine. Until then, I shall stick to my illustration.
